Back Pain!!

I was going to run this morning, but unfortunately, I woke up to find that my back was not in the mood.  My lower back is just in knots and it is pissing the hell out of me, not to mention the fact that my entire city smells like smoke!  Well, it lloks like I’ll have to run on Thursday.

Fun Workout for a change!

I’ll be honest, i was not looking forward to today’s workout even in the smallest margin.  I knew I had to deadlifts, and last week tehy were herendous.  However, I was able to do them much better this week.  Granted, they weren’t as good as they could’ve been due to poor grip, but they were good nonetheless.  After I finished my deadlifts, something just switched inside of me, and I just had a fun, yet extremely intense workout.  It was flippin awesome!!  Hope that Wednesday’s workout is similar.  I’ll probably do my routine cardio tomorrow, so I’ll update with that tomorrow!

Need Help!

Okay.  I’m starting to see less definition in my chest and it is really pissing me off!  I want to build up my inner and lower chest.  I’ve been doing decine and close grip bench presses, but haven’t seen results yet.  I’ve also been doing them slow and controlled to get maximum growth.  Any one have any advice?

Had an incredible chest workout yesterday!  I changed things up a bit and threw in some machine presses and crossovers.  Felt amazing after I was finished.  I also slowed things down to get maximum growth.  I hope this works!  As for cardio, I played tennis today with a friend so I didn’t run.  Don’t want to burn up too many calories!

Weird Workout…

Had a really weird workout today.  I made progress on each leg excercise, but was forced to leave early before I could move on to abs.  (Long story, won’t get into it!)  Then, after two hours I had to come back to the gym and do abs.  I must’ve looked like a nut job for coming in for like 10 minutes just to work on abs and then just bolt.  Oh well!

Cardio…

Had a great cardio session today.  Ran almost all of my neighborhood and did it in around 20 minutes.  Had to walk a portion of it, but I’m not looking to lose weight, just increase my cardiovascular health.  So, it’s all good!

I’ve been a little lazy with my blog lately, but here it is!  I have been a little loose with my diet over the weekend, with Mother’s day and all.  But, I am getting back on track today!  Workout yesterday was oka in some places and great in others.  My deadlifts were really weak for some reason, but my tris were unbelievable.  Started doing Close Grip Bench PResses and can really notice a difference.  Hopefully this will help me with my bench and increase my arm size!

Okay..

Time for another rant!  I saw this kid about my age doing a bench press.  Now he had a good amount of weight on the bar and he got into position and everything was fine.  Then he picks his legs up and crosses them in the air and proceeds with the bench press.  Immediately I was worried, but he was able to do his set and everything was fine.  I though he would just do that for his lower reps, but he ended up doing it again as he added more and more weight.  He had to get a spotter at one point and, luckily, the guy told him it would be a better idea to put his feet on the floor.  He was very nice about it, and he explained that he saw a bunch of the bigger guys at the gym do it this way, so he thought that was the way it was supposed to be done.  Now for the rant:  I can’t stand it when people see the big guys at the gym and automatically asume that they are doing everything right because they are big!  Seriously, I am no where being a big and buff guy, but I like to think I know a thing or two about lifting weights.  With that said, I am constantly picking out things that bigger guys do wrong at the gym.  I mean, I know genetics have a lot to do with that, and for some of them, steroids, but I really get pissed when I see these guys twice my size barely do anything in the gym and look like they do.  I on the other hand work my ass off every time I go to the gym!  For instance, I worked my calves so hard today that I could hardly walk.  I don’t know, it’s just frustrating.  Anyway, I’m done ranting.  Sorry about that.

AMAZING WORKOUT!

Whew, that was one of my most rigorous workouts.  I improved on every one of my workouts, especially the 20 pound jumps on my squats, leg presses, and calf raises!  So, overall one of my better workouts.

Cardio

Monday, May 7th, 2007

Had some cardio right after I woke up this morning, followed by a nice heaping of carbs for nutrition partitioning.  The best news of all is that my six pack is gone.  I caught it in themirror tis morning and I’m loving it!
