I have to ask a serious question. I am reading some conflicting advise on how many sets are too many.
I have been doing roughly 12 - 16 sets for large body parts (chest, legs) and between 9-12 sets for smaller parts (biceps, triceps). Some are saying I am not doing enough and some are saying I am doing too much.
I don’t feel overtired and I don’t feel any signs of over training. Am I just being paranoid or is there some truth I need to be shown.
In the past I would just work out until I couldn’t move my self for the next day, but that was when I was in my twenties. Now, that I’m buckin’ thirty-five it doesn’t work as well, plus now that I have a full-time career, family and other hobbies I don’t have the time or energy to train like I used to.
Just looking for someone to shoot me straight.
Thanks,
Jesse

I have recently lost about 10 lbs. and am feeling good. I have to say though, why is it that just when you are starting to see results the need to choke down a large pizza in one sitting seems like a brilliant idea.
Picture this, i am sitting in my living room reading Muscle & Fitness, then all of a sudden I have the overwhelming desire to order a large double meat from Papa Johns. I wasn’t even going to have them cut it. I was thinking that I could just fold it like a massive Italian taco.
Then after thinking it through the feeling passed…thank goodness. So thanks for listening to me rant. I wouldn’t mind some insight as to what the hell that was all about.
When I was in my early twenties, i had no problem eating boiled chicken w/ mustard and plain white rice four times a day and adding three protein shakes in between.
Now I lay awake at night dreaming of a huge Irish Breakfast complete with a Black Pudding.
What the HELL.

Well, I am fixin’ to start (that’s a technical term for ‘going to begin’ for those of you that aren’t from the South) a new supplement line called ISOGENIX if I’m not mistaken. Apparently, there is some sort of detox phase, followed by a few days of straight shakes, followed by more detox days.
My question is has anyone here actually tried it, and does it work. I’m sayin’ that for the cost involved is the product worth it. I know there is no quick fix, and I’m really not looking for one but for all the hype Iam expecting something out of it.
I am expecting it to jump start my metabolism and increase he absorption of food after I finish.
Am I close
Thanks for your responses.
