Hi guys and gals, hope you’re all having a happy christmas. Its been a while since I’ve seen one of these post so I was wondering what you people recommend as gym music to get you pumped up and motivated to push that bit harder in the gym. All suggestions welcome no matter how weird!
Thanks!

I was just interested to hear peoples views on this. I was chatting to my friend in the the gym and he told me that he used to use the slendertone system to work his abs. Of course, he also worked out and did cardio but he put the seed in my head. But for some reason it doesn’t sit right with me, I wouldn’t say its "cheating" but its certainly not the same as going down the gym and lifting weights. But then again, I take protein shakes and a couple years ago I turned my nose up at it. So do you think I should give the slendertone a go? (BTW - I hardly work my abs, they are my least favourite body part to work!)

So my gym calls me today to offer me some free guest passes because I’m in the top 200 members who use the gym the most. The rep also tells me that I have been to the gym 76 times in 2008! Thats like every other day! 76 times sounds like a lot but is it? Had the odd week off here and there coz of holidays and illness so I figure its not too bad. I’ve been thinking recently that I haven’t been going enough lately too!

Well, I’ve been 29 for precisely 47 minutes. I’ve never really been into birthdays
Feels like I’ve missed my stop and the train is moving further away from where I want to be. But physically, I’ve never felt better, I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and bust my a$$ to get fitter and stronger. I want that 6 pack before I’m 30!!!

So…its been 2 months since I started to train pretty seriously. I’ve never been so focused on something in my life and I’m enjoying it. I think I’ve made some small gains in the time but I’ve been plagued by bloody injuries! Not literally. First my back gives me grief for about 3 weeks so no ab or lower/mid back work
and now my left wrist is in pain! I’ve been dying to train heavy on bi’s but my wrist isn’t having any of it.
Overall, I’m reasonably happy but I know there’s a very long way to go. Sometimes I think I;m doing great and other times when I look in the mirror or at my progress pics I just get disheartened
Is all my training in blind faith that something will come of it? At the moment my faith is strong so I will continue to push on! For Sparta!!!
Fo all you guys and gals out there that think their taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back, keep the faith guys and train hard!

Well, I’m 2 weeks into my training. I’m still really motivated and lovin it but would like to see some more gains when I look in the mirror. Maybe everything increased in size proportionally so I still look the same?! Its hard to say only 2 weeks into it. T-shirts feel a little tighter and I do feel different, I just wish the camera would reflect this! But what did I expect after just 2 weeks? Its going to be one hard slog. Prob keep trying to add mass until christmas then start cutting in the new year. That should be plenty of time to get some good lean muscle on. Ain’t nothin to it but to do it!

Its been just over 1 week since I took that pic. Too early for another progress pic. I’m a little afriad of what I’m going to see anyway. I’m still putting in the time down the gym and making sure I eat as much protein as I can (still not enough though i think). Sometimes I feel good about myself other times I just don’t think I’ve gained much if anything. Its the paranoia that everyone gets, I’m determined to not take any notice. Tunnel vision.
