The meal of my life!
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008Wow, last night’s meal was amazing. It was definitely some of the best food I have ever eaten. First we started out at the salad bar and I got a plate full of veggies with a small taste of a couple cheeses and cured meats. They had awesome smoked salmon, which is one of my fav foods. The bread was really good, i only had half a piece, i wanted to save room for the meat but these mini rolls which were about the size of a ping pong ball were seriously addicting. I think they made them with crack or something. I had 4-5 of them lol. Gotta live a little! They came out to the table with all sorts of cuts of meat for us to try, here is a list of what we had. (they give you like 2oz to try each)
Bacon wrapped filet minon
Bacon wrapped chicken
Parm encrusted pork loin
Prime Rib
Roasted Beef
Filet (medium)
Leg of lamb
Lamb chops
Italian Sausage
Pork Ribs
Chicken Leg
Of course I didnt finish a lot of my bites but I wanted to taste them all. I got seconds of the lamb because it was seriously amazing but a lot of the other meats i took a little bite and it was good, but not worth the cals. I had a glass of Cabernet that was great and definitely paired well with the mainly beef dishes i was eating. I really didnt want dessert but when the resturant heard it was our Anni, they came out with a piece of chocolate cake. I shared it with my Bo, so it wasnt too bad and ended up being a great end to the meal. Im definitely going back for special occasions.
Today!:
Today’s plan is to work out at night with the Bo, do 20-30 mins LISS on the elliptical because my knee has been bugging me. I wanted to run today (especially after that huge meal) but I already have bad knees and i dont wanna make them worse. Then I plan on hitting the weights hard! Today is Biceps, Triceps and abs!
Meal Plan for today:
Breakfast: 1/4 cup steel cut oats (i measure this uncooked btw after i cook it its like 1/2 a cup)
1tbsp PB
Coffee/splash of milk
Snack: Apple, a handful of almonds
Lunch: Not sure yet honestly, i have to look at what i have in the fridge. If all else fails I have a lean cuisine i can grab.
Snack: 2 eggs, 1 egg white. 1 cup baby spinach
Dinner: Thinking about making an acorn squash soup with grilled turkey breast.

PWO: 1 scoop whey in water.
