disclaimer: I in no way meant to offend anyone with my analogy in this post or my description of my night last night.
ast night was a helluva night. not going into why, but let's say it was enough to previously warrant a whole cheese cake followed by a few beam and cokes and by a few I mean chit faced. Can we say emotional eating? Anyway....I didn't let it go that far. I dealt with it the best I could last night...no food once I got upset cause I didn't trust myself to stop, it was late so it wasn't that big of a deal, but I went to bed hungry. Anyone who has an emotional eating problem knows that when you get upset it's difficult to know if it's real hunger or emotional hunger, so I just dealt with it.
This morning I get up and have some more aggravation which postponed my gym time (which I needed more than ever!). I dealt with said aggravation and then went to the gym. Between last night, said aggravation, and Eminem (till I collapse) blasting in my ears I was fired up something fierce! I swear I had more testosterone and adrenaline pumping through my veins than a 21 year old guy at a boobie (pg way to say it ) bar once I made it to the gym. I could have ripped someone's head off had they stepped between me and the gym door today.
Bench: 1 set of 8 with 45
1 set of 6 with 75 (was a pr, but didn't feel heavy enough)
4 sets of 4 with 85 (PR baby!)
squats: 1 set of 8 with 45
1 set of 8 with 95
4 sets of 5 with 135
bent over barbell rows: 3 sets of 9,8,7 with 65 lbs (first time with barbell....my lower back is pretty weak, going to try and strengthen)
barbell curls: 4 sets of 6 with 30 (time to move up on weight)
tricep press: 1 set of 7 with 25 (too light)
4 sets of 5 with 30 (PR)
bent over dumbbell rows: 3 sets of 5 with 30
cardio: treadmill, just to stretch out lower back some...kinda tight since deadlifting last week....15 min
While loading up for working sets with bench I was asked if I needed a spot....guy thought I was trying for a 1 rep max. I said naaa, thank you though. after I finished first set he said "you're working the right weight, thought you were maxin'" I just laughed and said "nope, don't know what my max is" hehehe :D
on a side note....anyone ever get frustrated when you see people around you loosing massive amounts of weight even though you know you'll be there one day and look better because of the way you're doing it? is this a chick thing?
