<strong>meal replacement bar...</strong>

In terms of training in the low end of the rep range (the strength zone of 1- 6 reps), I would discourage anyone who hasn’ t been performing regular weight training for at least twelve months from using a weight that only allows them to perform 1- 6 ...

When one considers what I do for a day job [sedentary] and that I have backed the cardio down dramatically, I might be right in the window. We'll see what the scale and progress pics have to say over the coming weeks. This will be a different way to do it than I have done in the past [and what it seems every one else does in the pursuit of adding muscle] where I just bounce the calories up. Last time I did that I ended up with lbs in the fat column I was not too pleased about.

Its so hard for me to wrap my head around the idea of building mass at 2400 calories, heh. Keep up the good work. Its always nice for some fresh insight from your posts.

Sounds great Brian. Always daunting to put what you learned into practice. That is one big thing I've had to face being here at ECHO and applying the plant knowledge I have. Cool to see you're trying out the various "Phases" of NASM. Working and challenging your proprioception and balance mechanisms I see. I found it really helps at building the muscle-mind link. Keep it up dude! -T

We'll see what this is about ... I do tend to agree that it would be good to have some kind of oversight because I have seen trainers collecting checks from introducing people to new ways to hurt themselves.

The only thing that I am wondering if this is perhaps the result of a special interest attempting to limit the trade or boost the sales of a particular course/program.

Arnold vetoed a similar bill in '05.

According to how this is written, Our beloved "govinator" and Jack O'Lane would not have qualified to be Trainers.

I wish that more jurisdictions would follow this path. Too often have I seen personal trainers who are giving training advice that is completely inappropriate for the client. Having trainers who are incompetent does not look well on the industry and it only makes sense that if you want to teach someone then you should at least be able to show that you but some work into learning the subject yourself.
