Gym = Happiness?

Just woke up about an hour ago..feeling kind of like crap. I slept alright but I am still pretty sore. I just finished eating breakfast n had some green tea..Now I am just waiting for some black coffee n I will be on my way to the gym. As I said in my last post today is Chest, Triceps and Abs with 45-60 minutes of cardio. I am sure after the gym I will feel much better..well I am hoping!

Today marked 10 weeks out..I am getting so nervous n very excited all at the same time! I am still worried I am not gonna make it..but I am doing my absolute best. My diet has been on point and I have been hitting the gym 6 days a week…nothing I could do could change anything at this point so at least I am working as hard as I should be. I am definitely getting sick of tuna though :P urrrrgh!!!!!

I hope to receive my suit soon and supps from bb.com…can not wait for the super pump..I added them to my list of supps I am taking though I have not received them yet..hopefully Monday or Tuesday (fingers crossed). Anyways..I am very sore today..I had a grueling leg workout yesterday n my whole bottom half is killing me right down to my calves. I worked out back and biceps today n right now the biceps are feeling pretty alrigtht but my back specifically my rhomboids..are aboslutely killing me.. i went heavier than usual on seated rows n if I can feel the muscle pain already god knows how I will feel when I wake up.

Tomorrow is chest back and abs..gonna do about 45 minutes to an hour of cardio as well. Big day tomorrow!! Also tomorrow I am definitely going to check out some new shoes because my runners I have now are so done! Speaking of shoes I should definitely check out some competition shoes as well! I wanna break those bad boys in before I hit the stage.. i do not wanna look like I have a pole shoved up my butt cause I can’t walk right.

Well..it is getting late n I have not really been sleeping too great for some reason..figure I should give this whole sleep thing a shot tonight!

Yesterday was a low carb and an off day, however I did not get to rest like I thought I would. I had to move quite a bit of stuff from home to my new apartment with my boyfriend. My home is 3 stories n the apartment building has no elevator so I was doing quite a lot of lifting n the things were not light. It was for sure a 2 person job but I was impatient and wanted to get it all out of the way.   On another note I just finished eating breakfast about 30 minutes ago..I had protein pancakes (go figure) lol. I do not have anymore vanilla protein powder so I just stuck with oats n egg whites with natty pb on top. I have not been feeling the greatest over the last 3 days but today I do feel a little better. I can definitely see changes to my body in the mirror which is exciting. I will take some pictures at the beginning of next week to show my progress. Today is a Leg day with more of an emphasis on glutes n hams..so what i tend to do is fatigiue my quads out at the beginning and focus the rest of the workout on glutes and hamstrings. I also have to do cardio today, which is no big deal cause I do not mind it all that much. I think I will use the stair master and run stairs with my dog for my cardio. My legs are naturally very musclar but I am really trying to lean them out quite a bit.

I worked out my back and arms today for a second time this week..Diet was good, moderate carbs n fats n high protein. Calories were higher though around 1600 which I do once a week to keep my body guessing..it is usually around 1300-1500 calories.
Tomorrow is my off day! I am so so sore and my body feels run down but I think I may do some light cardio in the morning n some yoga just to stretch myself out.. Tomorrow is also my low carb day, which kind of blows but it is to be expected. . On the plus side tomorrow is supposed to be real nice outside so I think I will sit out n get a darker tan n then after that go check out running shoes cause I need a new pair. I also want some new workout clothes badly..but one thing at a time! Anyways it is 12am n I am off to bed..

Shoulder day!! :) Only my favorite day of the week!

I woke up feeling quite tired.. I have not been sleeping the greatest for some reason. I am so incredibly sore today because i did legs and ran stairs/ hills yesterday outside with my dogs. I can barely sit without it hurting..not sure how I will do my Cardio today but I will find a way. Today I am training Shoulders, Abs and  doing some Cardio. Right now when I left I am trying something different called pyramid training. I love it! However, my progress has been alright, which is making me a little doubtful that I will make it in 11 weeks. I am staying positive but if I do not make it n by that I mean feel I look incredibly awful in my suit than I will just do a show in January or something and keep rolling with the punches. Whether I do a show in November or January does not matter as long as I do one. That being said if I do not do the November show I will still go to the figure posing seminar because I need all the help i can get. On the other hand 11 weeks is a long time when your on a diet so I guess only time will tell.
I found my two piece suit yesterday it is red and very pretty, I saw it on divaexchange.com. I am ordering it at the end of the week when my paypal registration goes through. I have actually been ordering a lot of stuff lately..well not a lot but I am not a big online shopper. I spent around 140 on bb.com on Sunday. I bought Superpump, Pro Tan, Xpel and 5lbs of Myofusion..very excited to get everything in the mail lol.. Its funny as all my friends go back to school shopping for clothes, makeup and shoes I am using my money for suits, tanner and supplements and I could not be happier.

Also I am thinking of getting a fat burner but I am not sure which one I want. Anyone have any suggestions?

11 weeks out!

Well needless to say yesterday was one of the tougher of my competition prep days. I woke up today feeling refreshed happy and lighter. I had the remainder of my white chicken chili that I made out of Tosca Reno’s Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook. It turned out so great n tasted amazing for competition food. I figured I would eat it in the morning since it has a decent amount of carbohydrates in it and a good amount of protein as a pre workout. I am heading to the gym in roughly an hour or so. Today is Back and Biceps with who knows how much Cardio. Last night I said I was only going to do 45 minutes but ended up doing 25 minutes at the gym and doing more later with the pooch running hills and stairs for about 40 minutes. I will probably do about 45-60 minutes of cardio again. I do not like doing cardio indoors all that much I get bored easily and prefer to do something that is challenging.

Anyways today marks 11 weeks out from my compeition and the more time passes the more I get nervous. However I was looking at the calendar last night and realized 11 weeks is a fairly long time when your dieting and a lot can happen to your body in that time frame with a great diet n just as great exercise regime. My body responds fairly quickly but it still will not stop me from being afraid that I am not going to make it looking the way I want. I am doing my best to stay positive and will work very hard but the negative still creeps in every so often. However, on a good note it is time for me to get ready to hit the gym and start my day!

Feeling Rough

I am heading to the gym in roughly an hour and I feel so exhausted n pretty hungry. I am on contest prep n right now feel like utter crap. I have being sleeping very well but the day hits me really hard around this time. Today is definitely worse than most days. However, I am trying to stay positive and know tomorrow will be a better day..Plus I am going to eat in 15 minutes..but I am contemplating what I want. Though I do not have much to choose from since my diet is quite strict.. I am thinking something along the lines of oats n egg whites since I need the carbs before I workout. Tonight I am training Shoulders and Abs along with 45 minutes of Cardio. When I get in from the gym I plan to have my shake n then make a white chicken chili for dinner out of Tosca Reno’s Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook. Hopefully the gym cheers me up!
