School begins for my last year in high school. August 12th is the kickoff along with the kickoff for my new routine. A better saying would be to say that I’m getting off of off-season. =) I’m looking for ANYONE’S help here too! As much or as little as you’d like! I’m sayin you could give me a day-to-day eating schedule and diet along with a full body workout. All suggestions will be taken in and considered, with web rep. helping somewhat determine good sources. I’m yours to influence in HEALTHY ways! So gimme your best, damned shot! I now have the money, time, desire, effort, and resources to hop fully into this training so don’t doubt me and keep up the advice!

Straight up amazing lift today. I got in the gym monday and worked chest and a little arms but today i went and worked out right after school for two hours w/my beastly friend james. We’re awesome partners together. We completely turned the gym upside down. It was shoulders back and arms day and god damn did we hit em hard. i was doing bent over dumbbell rows and had started off at 55 pounds but i just kept getting so pumped and hit w/massive amounts of adrenaline. it was amazing. finally i told james i had to grab more weight so i grabbed his 65 pounders. i repped em like nothing. i actually did 12 reps for one set. by this time people were staring at this kid who walked in scrawny and now looked pretty damn ripped because of his pump while throwin up 65 pound dumbbells like they’re nothing. so my next set i said screw it again, i pulled out the 75 pounders and threw those up for two more sets of 10. I’m HOOKED. just after todays lift. we worked so much in those two hours and learned alot from eachother about lifting and techniques that we use. it was an awesome experience and left me wanting to stay in the gym the rest of the night. unfortunately i don’t have that much energy and also have college courses as a junior in highschool…..ain’t gonna happen. i had to go. but still, that was only a highlight of today’s lift. everything overall was just amazing.
i’ll keep throwin that iron, later-jay

I haven’t been able to run the to gym and lift for a while. It was my homecoming weekend, then today I had to help clean around the house and stuff. GRRR! I’ve been eatin alot tho! Don’t worry! My weight goals are higher than expected and I’m 4 pounds away from my two week goal with only seven days left! its comin’ along! I am noticing a size increase on my arms, I look pumped all the time now and i hope it’s safe to say that I gained some muscle. I’ve been blessed with good genetics for my arms, my dad always worked his arms and never got sore but massive strength and size gains. I am thankfully reaping those rewards from those genetics. My shoulders are becoming more cut as well. Not HUGE things or something that is very noticable but hey, it’ll get there. I can’t work out tomorrow, i have to work and have a doctors appointment. i MIGHT have some time after work, but the good thing is my work has a gym connected to it! haha. Later all!

So the lift was short and sweet. My upper body was pretty sore and I don’t like to press matters when I’m sore. I don’t feel like it accomplishes much. I did some decline dumbbell bench presses with 40lbs each hand for 3 sets of 10, then some incline barbell bench with just 95 lbs. for 3 sets of 10, the did some cable crossovers of 60lbs for 3 sets of 12, 3 sets of 12 dips, then just some light flyes at 35 lbs. dumbbells of 3 sets of 8. Not hammering the weight. Just gettin back into lifting hard so I don’t wanna beat the shit outta myself and burn myself out, plus i had hockey practice which is bad cuz i need all that protein and energy i waste while i skate! =( o well. i’ve been eatin alot so hopefully i’ll meet my weight goals. later everyone.

So freshman year i started lifting half way through the year out of embarrassment of being one of the biggest looking kids in my grade but not being able to back it up. So i started lifting hardcore about 4 to sometimes 5 days a week working splits based on fatigue and soreness. I knew what to do, my dad was a pro lifter, not big time famous, but still a big guy. I packed on some weight going from 165 to 180 in about a month and a half. I ended up maxing on bench at 270 lbs. I was beastly for a point in time. When summer came I transferred schools and lost my awesome little school gym where I knew everyone and every machine was close at hand for my disposal. Needless to say i lost it all. I barely lifted sophomore year, there was no consistency and the longest stretch of lifting was probably for about 3 weeks at the MOST this summer before my junior year in high school. I’m lucky i’m naturally big from genetics and that I didn’t have to work constantly to be where i am at. But that’s gonna change now. Thanks to my new friend James, who’s 5′11, 250lbs. and is basically a monster. He’s inspired me to lift and get the disease i once had. The disease of throwin’ IRON! Now with the help of this site I have lots of motivation and even though my starting weights may seem low, don’t let them fool you. I don’t want to burn myself out while i come back into lifting by beating the living shit out of myself. I’m starting low. But i easily admit it’s also cuz I’m just not that strong anymore. I’ll get it back, don’t worry.
Peace, Jay
