Well I leave for Baton Rouge, LA early in the morning to compete in the American Powerlifting Federation Teen and Master National Powerlifting Championships. Last year, I competed in the 56KG class (123.5lbs) and now I am going to lift in the 52KG (114lbs) class.
I am still cut from the NPC Texas Shredder last Saturday so I am lifting in the lighter weight class. This gives me the chance to set some new world records that I currently do not own. Since I was 16, I have always lifted in the 123 class. So I am taking advantage of the Figure show training to break the world records in the lighter class on Saturday. I will post the results on Sunday.

I am very pleased with my first figure contest. I took first place in the Teen division and qualifed now to go to NPC Teen Nationals in July. I am sooooo happy with my victory in the teen division. Next was the class A Women’s Figure. Class A is women 5′4″ and under I am like 5′3.75″ So I was one of the tallest in my class.

There were 12 ladies in that group and was the largest and toughest class of the show. It was a very close contest and first place could have gone to at least 3 of us on stage. The girl I thought might beat me actually took third place and the girl that won I thought would finish third…..go figure (LOL)

Anyway I was very happy to take second in such a tough field of ladies. My goal was to make top five so when I placed second against the adult females I was very satisfied. I willl be going to NPC Teen Nationals in July to kick some butt at the National Level. Stop by my MySpace and look at all the pictures from the show and let me know what you think.

Thanks for all the support from all of my BodySpace & MySpace friends!

Well, I am just 9 days away from my first NPC Figure show, the Texas Shredder and just 15 days away from the APF Teen National Powerlifting Championships.
I am getting leaner everyday. I can hardly wait to see what I look like next Friday and Saturday!
Here’s a photo of me taken 10 days out:

And here is a video of my training I did this afternoon (9 days out):

Spotted in a MySpace bulletin from Dave Goodin: "The NPC Texas Shredder Classic is only one week away! We have 95 drug-free athletes entered at this point and I’m sure we’ll be over 100 by showtime.
We have some amazing competitors entered and great great guest posers.
Guest poser Kiyoshi Moody is one of the best drug-free bodybuilders I’ve ever seen, and our show opening guest poser, Austin Barbisch has the most entertaining routines ever!

You also don’t want to miss the chance to meet our smokin’ hot trophy girl, Super-model Cody Bentsen. Cody will have some photos on hand to sell at prejudging, as well as before and after the night show.
Call 512-626-0413 for info and tickets.”

Hello everyone!
Well, I have been dieting down since the 1st of March for my first figure competition on April 26th in Austin Texas. I have dropped about 15 lbs of fat and added about 4 lbs of muscle and to me I have never looked better. It has been hard dieting down but my dad made a deal with me and told me if I stuck to the diet and training he would do it with me and that has made it easier for me and he has dropped 30 lbs too. (Thanks Dad.)
I am seeing muscles I never knew I had. (LOL) The show I am doing is the NPC Texas Shredder and that is the first show that my dear friend Jamie Eason did. I am very much looking forward to the show and I hope to do well as I have trained and dieted very hard for this show.
Barbie Barbell, 4 Weeks Out (Taken April 26th.)
I have a whole new respect for bodybuilders now because it is twice as hard training and diet than what I have done for a Powerlifting meet. Speaking of Powerlifting, I will be competiting at the APF Teen Nationals just one week later on May 2-4 in Baton Rouge, LA. I hope to be the first female to actually compete in both and be able to win at a National Level. I love being able to do things that people tell me can’t be done.
I fully plan to win both, but if I fall short hey I did my best and to me that is all that really matters. Take care and God bless everyone!
peace,
**BB**
