We have reached the culmination the seventh season of the Ultimate Fighter reality series. The two coaches Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Forrest Griffin will battle it out for the UFC LHW title this Saturday in Las Vegas. Forrest was able to get the upper hand by winning the coaches challenge on the show, which was a game of horse for 10 G’s. He was also able to coach the eventual winner of the show in Amir Sadollah.
That is great and everything but will he be able to slay the beast that is known as Rampage? Or will Rampage run through him like he did against Chuck Liddell, who coached Forrest to victory in the first season of the Ultimate Fighter?
Check out my UFC 86 preview:

Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) were found in Camp Taji, Iraq.
But we’re not talking about nuclear weapons. We’re talking about explosive quads, massive traps, and monstrous biceps. On May 25, 2008, Camp Taji held its first Bodybuilding, Hard body, and Fitness/Figure competition. While members of the Armed Forces are fighting the war against terrorism, they still manage to find the time to stay in immaculate physical condition. There were a total of 20 competitors: ten for bodybuilding, four for fitness, and six for hard body.
The first display of WMDs was the hard body competition. Armed with two massive boulders for shoulders, Specialist Chapman took first place. This event was judged solely on the contestant’s upper body. Chapman was awaiting a flight home for rest and relaxation, and due to harsh weather conditions he was unable to leave for home. He figured while waiting for a flight, he might as well compete! When Chapman showed his most muscular pose, the crowd cheered loudly. USARMY Cavalry Scout William Chadly Hill wasn’t too far behind, winning second place. He can’t wait to compete in the next show.
Typically when women compete in figure or fitness they wear posing suits. The female/figure contestants did a great job of improvising a suit. With creativity, each female contestant stepped out on stage looking her best while performing each quarter turn. Mechanic Specialist Amber Gil won first place for figure/fitness.
The bodybuilding competition was the last event in the show and by far the most competitive. Following the individual performances, all ten soldiers came on stage for the pose down. This was the first competition for USARMY Ranger and Sniper Staff Sergeant Tyrel Tierney. After winning the title of Mr. Taji, he has the determination and ambition to compete in more shows. Tierney has hopes of competing in NPC sanctioned events when he returns home from Iraq. USARMY Air Traffic Controller Sergeant First Class Jeff Herzog won second place. He is a veteran competitor from Oahu, Hawaii who has competed in The Paradise Cup 2006 and the Armed Forces Bodybuilding Hawaii 2007.
The day after the show the gyms were overflowing on the base. We are all hoping for even more competitors for the next show. All the competitors were incredibly grateful for the support provided by Bodybuilding.com. The soldiers enjoyed the gifts and souvenirs they provided. Soldiers left the show with towels, t-shirts, sample supplements, drink bottles, and more from the military-friendly site! Stay tuned for the next event, November 23rd, 2008, with hopes of an even bigger display of our Armed Forces Weapons of Mass Destruction.

I used to live in Omaha, Nebraska where I worked at a big advertising agency and got my learn on at an art college. That’s not really relevant to this story but anyone who has lived in Omaha or currently lives there has to be excited for the city. The web site MMAmania.com has confirmed that the next UFC Fight Night 14 will be held in Omaha. Look for Houston Alexander to bounce back from loosing two in a row in front of his hometown crowd. He is slated to fight on this card. The main event has yet to be announced but stay tuned for more details as they are announced. Midwest fans will get a taste for what the UFC is all about on September 17, 2008.

I love the last week of contest prep! I love being able to say this is my last leg work out, this is my last regular workout, this is my last deplete day! My training partner who’s a WNSO Muscle Model and Fitness model pro always says that the last week doesn’t count. I think she’s right! Everybody tells you how excited they are for you, how it’s almost there and all of a sudden the diet that killed you the week before isn’t that bad anymore…
I went with my training partner to do groceries and buy all our competition stuff as well as our post contest food lol. After buying a gazillion dollars worth of candy, chips and chocolate I was told by the cashier that I was lucky to get to eat all of that and be so small!!!!! If only she knew
This time around I’m a lot better prepared, it’s the world Championship after all! We modified my diet and my training and I have never been in better shape. There wasn’t really time for me to add some size since I just did a show but I will be a lot leaner. Last week I was 8.something BF at 108!!!!!! My legs are looking a lot better than last time and I’m really happy about that! I still have a week to go, 2 more deplete days, 3 carb up days, 1 last back and chest wo, 1 last arm wo, 1 last deplete wo and than I will rest and eat sweet potatoes and oats and will enjoy this great adventure!
Someone once asked me why I was so relax the day of the show. My answer was simple, I love it! I also know that it’s a judged sport so there is not much you cna do about the outcome so if you show up with your best body every time and you’re proud of yourself you have already won…
have a good one and good luck to all of you who will be competing next week-end in Toronto!
Isabelle!
P.S. I would like to give Isabelle Galarneau my training partner a big shout out for her constant support and to my man Michael (1_2_Rage) thank you so much! I never could have done this without you!

The most successful show yet. We sold out the night show.
The national anthem was sung by CMA award winner Tonya Cowart.
Special awards were given to the trainers Brad Mumphrey, Dennis Cejas, Kayley Bundine, and Jennifer Chaltain of Personal training & Nutrition in Mobile for training bodybuilding and figure athletes and weight loss transformation winners. IFBB pro, Mike Horn’s clients won he most awards.
We paid Honor to Pat Moore former NPC judge by having a moment of silence and prayer.
Toney Freeman stunned everyone in the audience with his size and condition he came in 310lbs. and hard! Toney had just flown in 17 hours from Kuwait and lost his luggage and then drove 7 hours to be at the show. We really appreciate him going all out to come to our show. We would recommend him to any promoter.

There was a guest routine done by last year’s fitness winner CiCi Kyle. Teen Fitness champ Bailey Kimes did a fitness routine with her mom IFBB Pro Fitnesss Lorie Kimes. There was also a mind blowing sword routine by Arkar Mon’s marital arts team Shotomon Ryu. There is no way to describe it. You truly had to see it. I have seen many marital arts demos before, this one was truly entertaining. It left the audience on the edge of their seats. IFBB pro Rowland Huff was also on hand. So with Mike Horn being there also we had 5 IFBB pros for the audience to get to spend time with. The Hot Spot was on hand to cater to tanning all the athletes. Our MC, Jay Hammett, of bodtvonline.com he kept the audience cheering, and laughing. There was not a dull moment. The atmosphere was energetic. A good time was had by all. All photos are available to view at www.collages.net. User name SteelWorld08 password 7980. Mobile Press Register was on site to cover the contest.
The athletes were of great quality and many of the classes were very close. Last weekend at the NPC Vulcan Classic Angie Eagle won the overall and Amy Brown had won her class in figure. This weekend both women were back. This time Angie Eagle won her class and Amy Brown won the overall. It was very exciting. In ladies bodybuilding Suzie Carter-Hardin had very entertaining routine and had the crowd cheering.

It was great to see some of my friends there from my son’s former playgroup to cheer on Jennifer Chaltain who has lost 65 pounds and overcome obstacles including being a type 1 diabetic to do her first figure show.
Trophy Presenters included, Selma Reneman, former national figure athlete, Danielle Kifer, former NPC Steel World Figure athlete who went onto get 2nd at the USA last year, and Mandy Tinsley, 07 NPC Steel World overall figure winner.
Every Competitor got a real samurai sword on a stand.
The after party at TGI Friday’s was packed out. Athletes were able to go to the judges tables and get feedback and hang out with Toney Freeman.

I’m so sorry!!!!!
I know I suck and I should have posted before but as usual work got the best of me?
I’m happy to say that I did well at FAME East, I actually won my division (open fitness model) I just had so much fun that day and will remember April 19 2008 for a very long time! I woke up rested and happy! My boyfriend (currently deployed) had sent me a little video wishing me good luck and saying he was proud of me so it was a great start to my day. It was a gorgeous sunny day and I was all smile driving over to the venue. I got there got dressed and went upstairs to watch the guys compete. All I can say is WOW, the men were in amazing shape and I was impressed with how well the show was run. Watched the guys from my team kick some butt and went backstage to get ready knowing that it would be my turn soon.
It was very special for me because my parents are not necessarily big fans of me competing but my mom came to see my show and so did my friends and my neighbors. I walked on stage with the biggest smile and got such a confidence boost seeing my mom cheering me on. Also knowing that my man was proud of me and was staying up all night to check up on me was great!
Pre-judging went great and my coach was happy with my stage presence so all I had to do was focus on theme wear and enjoy myself! I have to say that I really enjoyed competing with the WNSO because it’s fun. It’s a great show to watch and competitors and staff were just so nice, I didn’t want to leave!!! Talking about entertaining, my coach competed with his girlfriend in the fittest duo category and their routine gave me Goosebumps. It is featured on the WNSO website so if you have a chance check it out, they got a standing ovation at the end and when you see it you will understand why.
The award ceremony was obviously the highlight of my day. When they called out my name for the top 3 I was shocked, I guess I didn’t really have any expectations. I looked at my coach standing beside me and he just smiled and said good job. I walked to the middle of the stage with the biggest grin and not really knowing what was happening. They called out 3rd place and I was standing there ready to fake smile as they called my name for 2nd place… when they called out the 2nd place winner and said the new fitness model open winner is Isabelle Rochon my mind went blank and I just had a miss America moment where I covered my mouth and stood there with the dumbest look on my face lol. All I could hear after that was my younger sister screaming “don’t cry… smile!” and I looked at the judges and said thank you. Then I looked at my coach who was laughing at my reaction and smiled and got my composure back. After that all I kept thinking was I need to e-mail my main man that is girl didn’t disappoint
Next was a nice long shower to get all that tan off followed by pizza and watching my man GSP school Mat Serra… that completed my already perfect day!
After that I took a week off and enjoyed some food ( not too much) When I met with my coach we agreed that I would compete in the WNSO world championship on June 15.
So as I write this I am 2 weeks out and starving. I’m meeting with my designer for my new theme wear this week. I’m still debating if I will get a new competition suit done, competing is soooooo expensive , I really need to focus on getting a sponsor after this show. So far my contest prep is going great, I am leaner than I was for my last show and about 2 lbs lighter and I still have 2 weeks to go.
I am really looking forward to competing again in 2 weeks. My training partner will be competing the day before in the muscle model category and I can’t wait to go and cheer for her. Ava Cowan will also be there so you know I will just have to ask her to take a picture with me ( I know I’m such a geek) I’m a huge fan of her and her videos series here on BB.com.
I am very lucky to be able to compete and to have the support of my friends and family but most of all I’m lucky to have such a supportive boyfriend. Thank you Michael!
Wish me luck!

To many this was the most anticipated fight of the night. The former champ taking on Dana White, oh wait I mean Lyoto Machida. This saga reminds me of the WWE Vince Mcmahon versus Stone Cold lol! Anyways it was a typical Machida fight where he was on the defensive and out pointed Tito for the Unanimous Decesion. Sadly the most entertaining part of the fight was the ref Yves Lavigne slipping and falling on his ass. Which got a huge reaction from the sold out arena.
Tito tried to press the action and attempted a few takedown attempts but Machida was far too elusive for the former champ. Nearing the end of round one a Tito takedown was reversed and Machida was able to land some punches as time ended.
Round two was much of the same as a frustrated Tito was unable to catch Machida. Machida was able to land some kicks and punches to win round two.
Round 3 was entertaining at the end where machida landed a nice knee to Tito’s stomach knocking him down. Tito quickly recovered and pulled guard. He surprised everyone by nearly finishing the fight with a beautiful triangle choke, but switched it to a armbar where Machida was able to escape as the fight ended.

As Machida was giving his post fight interview, Tito got on top of the cage and recieved a huge applause from the crowd. He was able to take some time to thank the fans and the Ferrtitas (UFC Owners) for the support and such. He also left it open for a return to the UFC to the surprise to the fans but again recieved a huge reaction.
I later found out that Tito was banned from the post fight press conference from either Dana White or somebody that works for him. He was able to gain access from the plea of the press themselves and was the main attraction of the conference. Here’s a link to the Post-Fight Press Conference:
http://videos.mmaweekly.com/view_player.php?id=2550
I could go all day with my opinions on the Tito/Dana feud, it might be resolved with a sitdown that Dana said would probably happen. Tito said before the fight that Lorenzo Ferrita offered him a new contract though. Tito wants more money not just for himself but for all fighters, just look at the fighter paydays:
B.J. Penn ($250,000) def. Sean Sherk ($35,000)
Wanderlei Silva ($150,000) def. Keith Jardine ($10,000)
Goran Reljic ($6,000) def. Wilson Gouveia ($18,000)
Lyoto Machida ($100,000) def. Tito Ortiz ($210,000)
Thiago Silva ($50,000) def. Antonio Mendes ($4,000)
Rousimar Palhares ($10,000) def. Ivan Salaverry ($20,000)
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou ($80,000) def. Kazuhiro Nakamura ($20,00O)
Rich Clementi ($40,000) def. Terry Etim ($10,000)
Yoshiyuki Yoshida ($12,000) def. Jon Koppenhaver ($8,000)
Dong Hyun Kim ($40,000) def. Jason Tan ($3000)
Shane Carwin ($12,000) def. Christian Wellisch ($10,000)
Jardine who was knocked out so bad that he was rushed to the hospital made 10 G’s. There is a big problem with that. This is the guy who just beat Liddell and he only makes that??? All these fighters put their lives on the line for as little as 3 grand, I could make that in a half hour of blackjack LOL.
Tito speaks his mind and he is right on this subject. Just ask Tim Sylvia, Randy Couture and Andre Arlovski, three former champs gone from the UFC. Who is the real star who puts peoples butts in the seats, the fighters or Dana White? Time to start paying up or all the stars will be gone! Enough about his what do ya’ll think. Night Night My next fight I will be attending will be the Affliction Banned card in Anaheim California should be a huge card featuring, Fedor, Sylvia, Josh Barnett and Andre Arlovski, 4 former heavy weight champs! Cya there!
