Two new classes have been added: MsUSBF Figure Juniors & Junior Ms. Bodybuilding.

Here is a guide below for Body Bronzing for your competition.
For more information got to www.jacquelinepasqualespa.com or call 201-941-3455.
The price is $85.00 for two sessions on Friday, and touch ups and glazing on Saturday.
The tanning will be done in 20 minute increments.
Airbrush Makeup Application is $85.00 per person, it is airbrush makeup and eyelashes are included, but feel free to bring your own and it can be applied instead. This also includes any tattoo coverage needed and body shimmer. Appointments will be done in 30 minute increments for makeup.
How To Tan For A Competition
FORGET EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ON HOW TO TAN FOR A COMPETITION.
Simply Follow Jan Tana’s 4 Easy Steps For “The Winning Competition Color”!
Follow in the footsteps of the Pros using Jan Tana’s On Stage Competition Collection … Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, Jenny Lynn, Jen Hendershott, Monica Brant, Melvin Anthony, Johnnie Jackson, Darrem Charles, Elaine Goodlad, Tracy Greenwood, Julie Palmer, Amanda Savell, Valerie Waugaman, Victor Martinez, Adela Garcia, Betty Pariso and 49 of the 2006 Olympia Competitiors.
YOU MUST HAVE THE COMPLETE ON STAGE COMPETITION COLOR COLLECTION
The Day Before Your Competition, Follow Step 1-3 - At your Competition Complete Step 4
Step 1.)
Use Jan Tana Neutralizing Scrub to exfoliate and neutralize the skin immediately before applying On Stage Competition Color. DO NOT forget to scrub your back! DO NOT use deodorant or put anything else on your skin; it may raise your skins pH and change your Competition Color. Use scrub 3-4 times a week before your competition to renew and refine the texture of the skin for a healthier, radiant look ON STAGE.
Step 2.)
After your bath, apply Jan Tana Deep Moisturizer to nourish and conditon skin so it will evenly absorb the On Stage Competition Color. Apply moisturizer generously to knees, elbows, feet and hands since these areas tend to absorb more color. Use moisturizer daily for a week or two before the competion to ensure a smooth, even absorption of color.
No Matter How White You Are, JAN TANA ON STAGE COMPETITION COLOR WILL GET YOU THE DARKEST COLOR POSSIBLE! You want your color to look fresh, deep, dark and natural so DO NOT apply On Stage until about 24 Hours Before Your Contest.
Step 3.)
Make sure to schedule your airbrush bronzing session. Depending on how dark you want to be we usually suggest two sessions. One or two sessions on Fri., and one session on Sat.
Step 4.)
After you pump up backstage, dispense 3-5 drops of Jan Tana Ultra Body Glaze in the palms of your hands. Rub palms together to warm glaze then smooth over the body sparingly and lightly following the contour of each muscle. You will need to dispense more glaze for each body part. The glaze will protect and waterproof your color and harden under the lights to give you the maximum definition. Be Careful Not To Apply Too Much Glaze. It does not absorb into the skin like oils. Apply it once and thats it.
Now you are ready to take THE STAGE with Confidence…You do have “The Winning Competition Color.”
SPECIAL NOTES
DO NOT use any other products with On Stage because they will effect your overall color.
DO NOT use oils, pam cooking spray or any other products over color. They may contain petroleum and will make your color run!
DO NOT put on deodorant Before or After applying Color. Deodorant will raise the skin’s pH and turn your arm pits green.
Posing Classes
John and Blythe will also be holding posing classes in the next upcoming weekends. If you are interested in figure and / or bodybuilding posing classes, please email mizzcr8tivity@aol.com or call 443 622 5494

2009 NANBF Nutri-Sport Natural Results.
Check out the results from the 2009 NANBF Nutri-Sport Natural Iowa & Central Midwest Championships here.
|
This year marked the 15-year anniversary of the Nutri-Sport Bodybuilding, Figure & Xtreme Fit Championships. The event was significant from not just that but from the quality of competitors from 15 different states competing for an IFPA pro card, an amazing guest poser and other factors that wowed the spectators at the Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, Iowa on May 9th.
Getting things started was HarMENy, a trio who did an amazing performance of our country’s anthem! The crowd then was treated by IFPA pro Joe Wilson who lit up the audience with his guest posing, complete with splits and all! Finally, the walk through of almost 90 competitors had the energy high and the audience wanting more!
Kicking things off was the Mr/Ms Iowa divisions. In the women’s class, Kerri Larsen brought some excellent symmetry and overall mass to the stage. While her posing was amazing, it wasn’t enough to knock off Wendy Rees from the top. Wendy was shredded and had good muscle density to earn her the title. In the men’s division, the very competitive short class opened it up with Bill Koller taking seventh with some massive muscle on this frame. Sixth went to Ahmad Al-Hameed, who possessed some big arms, just needed a little more conditioning. Cracking the top five, Walter Reed has a great overall package and will do some damage as he reaches his potential. In fourth was Ono Okagboare, who has great symmetry. It was a tight three-point difference for the top three. Brian Carter came in third with an amazing overall package and who was awarded best male poser. Second went to a sharp Kadhum Al-Yasseri. In the top spot was Nick Noethe, demonstrating great arms and overall size. The medium class had Sumit Lal opening up with fifth; more size and refining of posing will get Sumit higher. Forth was Gene Harmon, who at one of the thickest competitors onstage, just needs to dial it in more. Kent Kearney earned third. Kent’s leg’s were sliced and was a fantastic poser! Runner up was Kenford Simon, who also brought home the most entertaining routine award! Winning was Brent Huebbe with nice size and wide shoulders. Topping off the tall class was Jaymes Savage, who just needs to bring everything else in line with his amazing legs. Sixth went to Nick McGee, who also will shine with his upper body at the same level as his lower body. Levi Soukup was in fifth, having nice size. Fourth was Chris Maiden, possessing a balanced and symmetrical physique. Chris Lynch earned third with massive arms, with runner up going to a shredded Jason Kaiman. Getting first and the overall title was Dennis Thielen, with massive muscle bellies and phenomenal stage presence.
In the Central Midwest divisions, the competition was fierce for an IFPA pro card. In fifth for the women was Kerri Larsen, fourth went to Jennifer Long who had some nice delts and intercostals. Julie Bierman earned third with her overall package and solid posing. In a close battle for the pro card and top spot, a ripped Michelle Soldo was runner up, plus was awarded best female poser. But it was Wendy Rees got the nod and the pro card with her shredded abs and muscular physique. In the men’s division, Bill Koller was sixth in a very competitive short class. In fifth was symmetrical Brian Carter. Forth place went to Kadhum Al-Yasseri. A massive Tywan McGilbray, who is always fun to watch, landed in third. Second went to a shredded Jason Allar. Winning the class was Chidi Edebere who was sliced to the bone and massive. The medium class had Todd Chapman in eighth place. Thick Gene Harmon took seventh. Earning sixth was Kenford Simon. Cracking the top five, Cliff Talley dialed it in with a great routine to boot. Fourth went to thickly muscled David Myers. In third place was Rene Martinez, who had great definition and legs. Runner up was Dave Balder who battled well in this tough class. Taking it was Okechukwu Egungwu, with awesome lines and symmetry. The tall class saw Nick McGee getting fifth. In fourth was Tyler Mayer had popping delts and zinged abs. Jason Kaiman made the top three, and was later awarded the Karl Schneider award for his commitment to natural bodybuilding. Runner up was Devran Brower showing a ripped up package. Dennis Thielen got the nod and edged out the rest for the first place sculpture. In a tight battle for the overall and IFPA pro card, a shredded Chidi toppled over the rest of the competitors for the title and pro card.
Switching to figure, the open division had two classes going for the pro card. Cracking the top five in the short class was Lenore Theobald who had great symmetry and femininity. Earning fourth was Kelly Lovan, whose physique was amazing, but was also awarded with best figure presentation. Tasha Armstrong was third and sharply conditioned. Second went to Corween Sweeney, whose muscles were popping and great poise. However Natasha Murtha came in sharp and had the wide shoulders, nice lines and excellent presentation, getting her the top spot. In the tall class, in fifth was Kelsey Boe who had great leanness. Fourth went to Kristin Newstrom, with diced abs. Beth McClelland earned third with her good size and symmetry. Second went to Sheri Hofhuis, with a tiny waist, etched abs and nice muscle fullness. In the top spot was Leann VandeBerg, who was chiseled and had a great package. In the battle for the overall, it was Natasha Murtha who got the nod and the IFPA pro card.
In the 40+ masters classes, the competition was fierce as these competitors were shooting for a pro card as well. Cracking the top five in the masters figure was Michon Leddy-Hemmen, who had great presentation. Fourth went to Heather Worthington, with defined quads and delts. In third was lean Kristin Newstrom. The runner up spot was balanced Coreen Sweeney. Leann VandeBerg got the top prize in this class and this time around it got her a pro card. In the men’s bodybuilding, fifth went to Brent Mielke who had nice size and a great routine. Fourth was Kenford Simon, with his tiny waist and wide shoulders. Cliff Talley earned third with his sculpted lines. Runner up was Chris Maiden, with great lines and definition. Getting the title and masters pro card was Jon Salitros, who was shredded and balanced.
In the novice classes, the bodybuilding saw Terre Kern get the top spot, who has some serious arms. In the men’s short class, a symmetrical Joe Antomori placed fifth. Fourth went to Walter Reed. Bill Dvorak cam in third with great size, especially in his legs. In second, Jeremy Strohmayer has some great potential to fulfill! Top spot in this tough class went to Ono Okagbare. The medium men saw Hugo Barrientos take the sixth spot, with wide lats and an increditable v-taper. Fifth went to Daniel Yahnke who had some dense muscle bellies, especially in his back. Kent Kearney took the fourth spot, while Brent Huebbe fought for third with his thick size. Second went to teen Nick Hawkins who will do some damage in this sport. Josh Odom took the class with some amazing thickness and dramatic posing. Benjamin Scott was sixth in the tall class, followed by an improved Roman Rooney-kozak. In fourth, James Finney has some great legs and with some more conditioning will be tough to beat. James Savage took third with his thickness. Runner up was Levi Soukup and in first was a shredded Seth Campbell who has some serious wheels. In the overall battle, it was thick Josh Odom getting the title.
Novice figure was an impressive class. In fifth, Angel Simon had great arms and stage presence. Shelby Chapman got fourth with a great v-taper and presentation. Third went to Kris Strohmeyer who showed some shapely quads. Runner up was a very lean Christine Lillis. Getting the top spot was Danita Ward with a great shape and overall package. Beginner figure had Elizabeth Larsen in sixth, fifth went to Angel Simon, getting the forth place spot was Fatema Cannon, who had great calves and potential. Third went to Kris Strohmeyer, runner up was cut Christine Lillis and getting the top spot, Elicia Johnson had a great balance to her physique with nice muscle size and presentation.
The teens took to the stage next, showing the future of this sport. For teen women bodybuilding, three ladies showed much promise. In third was Kallie Reynolds, second went to Anna parsley and first was Bailey Holtz. All three demonstrated great potential, had a blast onstage and were enjoyable to see! In the teen men, Mike Beiter got fifth was some great arms and chest. Fourth went to Austin Tonner, with some horseshoe triceps. Seth Campbell and his amazing legs were in third. Runner up was Kasey Rolow who had a massive upper body. Top spot went to a balanced Nick Hawkins. Teen figure had Cassidy Corey in fourth, with Megan Crawford getting third and possessing great presentation. In a very tight battle for first and second, Shannon Copple landed in second with great structure, while Shelby Chapman got the title with a great v-taper and impressive stage presence.
Collegiate men were competitive and impressive, considering most of these students where very near or at their week of finals! In sixth was tricep man Austin Tonner. Fifth went to Benjamin Scott. James Savage took the fourth position with his swept legs. In third, David Myers displayed his great size. Nick Noethe got the runner up spot with his great overall package. The champ was Josh Odom and his thickness overruling the class.
In submasters, the women had Jennifer Long in third with some impressive shoulders. Second place was Michelle Soldo with great leanness and really tightened up as the finals pressed on. In first was Wendy Rees, with awesome abs and symmetry. In one of the toughest classes of the night, the men had 40+ winner Jon Salitros cracking the top five. In fourth was Rene Martinez, while Jason Allar battled for third. A close second went to ripped Jason Kaiman and winning by two points was Dennis Thielen. In masters women, Terre Kern and her guns were second. Julie Bierman was the winner with her ripped physique. In the grandmasters men, two guys who looked nothing of their age came to do battle. In second place, Mike Mealy showed a very balanced physique with a great v-taper and wide shoulders. Veteran Mark Block came more shredded than ever with freaky arms and great definition.
A special thanks to our major sponsors, Nutri-Sport and Fitness World for all their support. This year was special in a lot of ways. Not only was it the fifteenth year, but with a record turnout, a touching performance after intermission by ten and under bodybuilders, great physiques, an audience full of energy, a great post party and many other factors made this more than just a competition, but it really felt like a party and everyone was having a blast!!! It is exciting to see what next year brings as it gets better each year!

I know you’re all anxiously awaiting my crazy stories from Charleston thus far, or maybe not. Either way, it’s been quite the adventure. I took a red-eye flight of Denver and lucky me I had the middle seat that didn’t recline (thanks Shannon). The dude next to me snored and the children behind me cried the entire time. SWEET! My second flight from Atlanta to Charleston was hilarious. I got to my seat and this character who looked like Tracey Morgan was sitting with his hands inside his shirt. It was cold on the plane so it wasn’t that weird, at least not at that point. Once we took off the guy proceeded to get inside his shirt for the duration of the flight. He was either wanted by the authorities or taking the swine flu precautions up a notch. It was amusing either way.
