Friday’s Notes
Tim Gardner has made the stay here so far in Tampa, Florida very nice. For the bodybuilders and people who watch themselves, there is a cool menu at the restaurant which caters directly to the competitors. Chicken Breast, Filet Minion, Brown or White Rice, and so on with no butter, oil or salt. Just like people want it. So far everyone I have spoken to is very impressed with the hotel and the hospitality here in Tampa.
The Press Conference and IFBB Athletes Check In started at 6pm, and you can check out the pictures here at bodybuilding.com from the event. Hosts Bob Chicherillo and Dan Solomon provided the audience with some Q&A from some of the top contenders, including Dennis James, Toney Freeman, Darrem Charles, Mark Dugdale, David Henry and more.
While the over 202 competitors did not remove or show their physique, those who wanted to compete in the 202 and under did have to weight in. And judging from the physiques we saw, David Henry looked spectacular and very impressive. There are 40 male competitors and 18 female competitors. Due to cross overs, we have 38 competitors are competing in the regular contest and 25 competitors competing in the 202lb an under show.
Tomorrow morning prejuding for the IFBB begins around 9:30am
