UFC Weighin Report - No love for Sherk
The UFC Weighins took place earlier today and what an event. There were loads of people. I couldn’t even guess how many people but I’d say close to 2,500-3,000 people made their way to the free event at the MGM. The fighters signed autographs and posed for pictures before the event began around 4:15.
One of the earlier matchups started things off when one guy headbutted the other while posing for photos. I can’t recall his name but he wasn’t on the main card. That kicked off the excitement of the afternoon.
Tito Ortiz lived up to his name as the “bad boy” when he came out and stripped down to show the crowd his shirt. That got the crowd going nuts. As you can see from the photo why this was.
The main event with Penn Vs Sherk had the crowd in a roar. I felt bad for Sherk, I like the guy, his work ethic and think he was screwed in the substance controversy. The crowd booed him and yelled things like “cheater”. The dude got no respect but he should he is a bad ass. Penn stripped down and faced off with Sherk to end the event.
