Christine Pomponio-Pate’s New Baby Boy
Wow, so finally I am able to send a brief run down and a photo of little Mr. Riley James Pate. First of all I had to have a c-section so the only place I have really been lately is in bed. I know that some of you have done it that way and wow it’s really kind of a hard recovery. My office is upstairs and climbing stairs to get to the computer is harder than I thought. Not to mention, every time I turn around, I’m changing, feeding, burping, rocking, etc… It’s great though!
I labored an entire day, and about midnight they realized he wasn’t coming out the normal way. By 1:00 a.m. they told me it was time for a c-section. At that point the hormones and nervousness were making me shake uncontrollably while they had to redo the epidural. They wheeled me in, and soon after I heard that little cry…
Riley James Pate: 1:25 a.m., 6 lbs. 15 oz., 19 inches.
I love him so much and would give him anything! I loved being pregnant, only gained 17 lbs. and was back to my pre-preg. weight exactly one week later. I am so glad to experience this with so many of you doing this for your first time also. Thanks for all of your support!
