ibeaux makes a good argument. That is a lot of pressure on the neck. Be careful with that technique. Other than that...awesome numbers!! Still thinking about strongman?

The man to talk to is Fogg82 on bodyspace. Typically, A bunch of people that want to train strongman end up on a farm somewhere and all go in together for the equipment and train together. I went to my first live strongman competition this weekend and it seems as if I could do it with the proper training. It is very intense because of the cardiovascular conditioning you will need along with your strength. Check out Fogg82. He is a very cool guy!

I went to an old gym in Ohio once that had one of these. I used it as a deadlift like machine and did not enjoy the arc movement very much but I was able to lift more weight than on a regular deadlift. You have further enhanced my knowledge of powerlifting and strong man comps! Maybe I should have given that thing the benefit of the doubt huh?

There are a few guys at my gym that wear suits for squatting and deadlifting. I know that these suits can add pounds to your lifts but wouldn't it make more since to train without them and only use them in competition where it is allowed? I would think your overall body strength would be greater this way. There is one guy that squats with knee wraps on constantly. He could never squat the weight he is squatting now without them. Come to think of it, he tells me that now he can't squat at all without them. Am I missing something or is my assumption somewhat correct? I think he is killing his knee flexibility and strength by using them. What do you think?
On another note...great job on your bench. Have you tried using chains on your bench to bust through some plateaus? I did for the first time two weeks ago and it was very odd!
