Well Im back

So its been over 2 months since Ive written here, but have no fear Ive kept busy. After switching gyms due to problems, I now work out at a Worlds gym. I have also started doing more and more truck pulls in order to build up overall mass and strength and its been working well. I have really gone back to powerlifting, as before I was really focused on strongman. Benching with the shirt is going well, Im really learning how to use it to my advantage. Squats are going well. I have been focusing most of my time on box squats, still down to parallel, but in order to really be able to shoot out of the bottom and come up strong. I did a 430 squat down onto a foam square that sat right at parallel on top of a bench. Its harder since you sink into the foam, yet everything went well. Deadlifts are going well. I started my training towards 600+ in December at 475, which felt great. I went into heavy rack work in the squat rack, with the bar set just below my knees. So in other words, it was about half of a deadlift. I surprised myself by pulling 475, 545, and 605. Surprisingly 605 went pretty well so I thought, why not, and racked up 705. I have no doubt in my mind that this wouldnt move, and I was fine with that. I wanted to experience the weight. Little did I know, or even realize that the bar did indeed move, and I actually locked it out! With the rest of Worlds gym standing around me watching. Rack deadlift of 705 at 20 years old…not to bad at all. I was really, REALLY pumped about that.

Other than that, hope everyone is doing well. Hope your numbers keep up on the rise. Until my next post,

Keep lifting!
