Where I’ve Been
Well its been 2 weeks since my last post which was about the competition. So where have I been? The answer to that question is: Absolutely no where. Ive just been relaxing and letting my body heal and rest up. I just really started back yesterday hitting some close grip bench and some over head dumbbell lifts for my triceps, and tried out a new method of Dumbbell Side Lateral Raises for my shoulders, focusing on only one shoulder at a time instead of doing both together and I must say, that works a hell of a lot better! Now to most this isnt anything big, but this was big to me because I never thought this would happen but with this new technique for my shoulders, I finally got my traps to separate from my shoulders, creating that little groove between the two muscle groups giving a more defined look. So Im happy.
Now that its the beginning of a new week, I do believe it is time to start back to the training. Im not quite sure on which competition I want to enter in September. There’s the WNPF Pennsylvania State Championships, which I have been in and taken 1st place for my age and weight group the past 3 years, and then there is the WNPF Elite National Powerlifting Championships a week later. Im thinking its time for a bit of a chance and do the Nationals. Bigger records, probably bigger lifters and bigger numbers. But there is always time to decide, now its time to focus on getting bigger and getting stronger!
I saw this quote on a background you can download from Elitefts (elitefts.com)
"He who gains a victory over other men is strong; but he who gains a victory over himself is strong(er)."
Keep lifting!!
