This Ain’t a M*tha’ F*ckin’ Joke!
I’m taking this seriously. But sadly, some family members aren’t supportive. It amuses them that I’m counting calories, eat a modified diet, and take supplements. When they eat cake, they ask would I like some. Of course, I reply with a polite, “No, thank you.” Then they continue with an, “Are you sure?” while floating the cake in my face. “You know you want a slice.” The crap makes me mad. They know what I’m trying to accomplish. Why try to tease and tempt me? Why not support me? Let them eat cake.

Hey!
Try not to let it get to you…that’s exactly what they want. I know it sucks to not have people understand, I get that, too but for different reasons. I have a lot of weight to lose and a lot of muscle to gain, and when I tell people I will be on stage competing within a year I can tell they don’t believe either in me or the idea I can acomplish it. I just smile and let their doubt fuel my fire. One day they will see what’s up, and so will the people in your life. Then they’ll be asking for advice!
Best to you!

Hi there! I go through the same thing. Just keep what you are doing. All this is for you and you will enjoy your results.

This will certainly not be the last time. You will also be told you are ‘too skinny’, ‘you look ill’, ‘you are taking it too far’, etc. You will be asked ‘why do you want to be manly’? That one is my favorite. Do it for YOU and be an example–others will follow. You definitely have support here.

Always always always! I got that treatment from a friends family members! They kept wanting me to eat than the half sandwich I ate and they kept insisting that I eat another and with possible dessert. Keep strong, this is something many ppl wont understand.

Girl, you know I love you! Don’t let them get you down, you are doing this for YOU not them. You are incredibly strong-willed. Prove them wrong because you can!!

I know the feeling. Wifey thinks this is all a phase…even though I’ve been a gym rat way before we got together. Sometimes you have to go it alone or with little support until you reach your goals….and thats when everyone will jump on your band wagon. Stay up, and stay strong. Your goals are your own, and when you reach them you’ll get a round of applause from us on BB.com!!
