These are 2 poems I wrote. The first one I wrote the Saturday after going downtown a few days after 9/11. The second one a few months after. I love and miss my NYC.

Tears of Souls
Tears of Souls lost too Quick
Falling to the Earth on this Day
Of Darkest time
It seems forever Night has hold
Upon this great city of the World
Towers once stood great and Tall
Now no more they stand
They seemed to Fall on us All
Tons of Rubble Tons of Brick
Tons of Bodies Smoke so Thick
Tons of Cries Tons of Steel
Was that I was watching Fiction or Real
Real it was, Such an Evil Act
The “Will Of God” Osama would say
To that god’s will I would never pray… And
To Us all in the Rubble, We shall Overcome
Dig Ourselves out and let Justice be Done

Of Shattered Glass in Blinded Past
A Rising Star Meets the Falling Man
Anger Boils in the Midst of Madness
Hatred Appears where there was Sadness
An Ounce less of Composure
Brings the Perfect Storm to full Bloom
Like Beautiful Eye in Full Moon
Demons Tempt in Righteous Rage
Not Our True Face
Like Shakespeare actors Upon the Stage
But a Simple Thought upon Death`s Door
Welcome to All, Welcome to More
No Heaven, I see only Hell in this City
But not the End of this Story I say
