Need Some help!

In a few weeks I am going to stop with the NO-Xplode and bulking up and I`d like to burn some more bodyfat. Anyone know of any decent workout routines that I can use that won`t have me lose the muscle I have gained and shed some of this excess fat? I don`t mind losing a little strength but I really want to be able to keep the muscle. When I just ran twice a day I lost alot of muscle in the process. If I do that again, it will feel like I`m going backwards. I guess I need a good "cutting" routine.

Thanks

I have been working out for about a month, but I studied diet and exercise in college. All of my instructors said to do 30-45 minutes of cardio keeping your heart rate at between 65-75% of your max heart rate for fat reduction. I’ve been doing that and losing fat and gaining muscle with some weight training. Eat some carbs and some protein a minimum of 30 minutes before starting. Good Luck

You could do something like CKD for that. Just keep lifting heavy to maintain muscle. You’ll eventually start losing strength but continuing heavy will keep the mass even with the lower cals. Cardio with no carbs is pretty tough but even if you do none your bodyfat will melt off quickly. This is what I did and am starting again cause it worked for me. Hope this helps you out.

I am losing weight an building muscle at the same time. Alicia is right in the fact that when you do cardio keep your heart rate around 75% of your max heart rate. When you go to the gym do your strength training first. By doing this you will use all the energy stores in your muscle first. The reason you want to do that is so when you get on the treadmill you body will be forced to metabolize the fat into energy rather than going to your muscles first. Make sure that you don’t take much rest when you are strength training. Try to move quickly from one machine to the next or one lift to the next. This will keep your heart rate up. Also increase your reps instead of doing only 10 reps per set increase it to 15 reps and on legs try to do at least 20 reps because the legs are tough to burn out. Good luck bud and I am right there with ya I have a lot of weight to lose. I used to be in great shape and I let myself go and I am tired of being a "Usedtobe".
