March 31, 2009I love getting stronger! Today I benched 60 lbs and deadlifted 95 lbs, which are definitely personal records. Being able to lift heavy helps me out with my job, and it’s a lot of fun.

I don’t really feel like buying a gym membership when all I’m missing out of my home gym is a squat rack, but I miss my squats! I used to be able to do 175 lbs back in high school, and I know I can get back to that level someday! Must search for a rack now.
Umm, let’s see…diet is going good so far, splitting it up into six meals rather than five has definitely worked out for the best. I’ve turned my PWO shake into a lovely little nighttime dessert. Add a spoonful of dark chocolate cocoa to Dymatize Elite Whey in Cafe Mocha, blend it with ice, and tada! Makes me happy inside! LOL
This weekend I’ll be helping out my sister at a booth at an arts festival in Dallas, so I gotta try to stick to my diet as much as I can, with a little wiggle room here and there. I’m packing a lot of my food, so I should be set. Just making sure I’m getting in all my workouts before the time arrives…and then four day weekend from work! I’m very excited.
