I work anywher from 10 to 14 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. My job is very physically demanding. Since I workout at night, I'm pretty tired. My body is beat. I've noticed though if I think about the workout program that I'm going to do that night it helps me get motivated. I try to picture myself going through each set and rep. I do my best to keep my thoughts positive. I try not to worry about how tired I am or if my body is sore. Thinking like that is like looking at the clock over and over again. Makes it worse. Good luck

Hi
I'm noticing a lot of carbs in your diet. Too much bread. Try cutting out more carbs if possible. Also, eat any fruit that you can eat, you need those natural sugars for energy. Try not to eat too much before your workout. And depending on how hard you push at the gym, always have a protein shake after. It gets digested faster than eating protein and your muscles won't go too long without the protein they need.
By your timing it looks as if you work a normal 8-5 job or so, working out after work? If you're working out after work and have a protein shake then your next meal is also a protein shake and then bed. You should have another meal in between those two. A protein shake before bed is good if you're wanting to grow because protein gets digested slowly while you sleep and it won't get burned off. It also helps you sleep. If you're wanting to lose weight instead, try not to eat 3 hours before bed. So have your protein shake after your workout and then a light meal for dinner.
If you have any questions I'm more than happy to help.
You're on the right track and I don't see anything "bad" in your diet!
Good luck!

Well the best way I can think of on how to get out of your funk is first you have to change your mindset. I know you have quit a few things on the table such as getting a new job. But you have to not stress over the things you cant control and work on the things you can control. The same way you decided to leave your job is the same way you have to be able getting in shape to see progress.

When I hear that someone is at the gym working out and not burning the calories, I question the intensity of there workout. There is a difference in going to the gym and moving some weights around and going to the gym and working out.

Turn all that negative energy that is floating around you into positive energy. i would start the day with my job search schedule, then I would go to the gym and use the positve ener gy to build upon my day.

Use small postive goals to help eliminate as much stress as you can. the more positive you feel about the day, the more positive you feel about your work outs, the more you will move out of the funk you are talking about.

I have been in a personal 'funk' this last year (no work, no school, lost 3 incredibly close people to me) but you have to use that frustration to achieve your physical goals.Try to separate out personal obstacles from your physical capabilities. The lack of control you probably feel with everything can be somewhat mitigated by taking control of your fitness and diet. Look at it is a powerful escape/distraction. It's something that you can ACHEIVE and acheivment is what gives us humans satisfaction :)...don't overthink it, just do it girl!!! stay consistent is the most important thing, do not quit do not quit
