I was awake for 22hrs yesterday and despite trying to sleep in I am still sooo tired but very determined to get my butt to the gym before I have to go to work tonight. I’m literally getting dressed and ready as I type this trying to keep the motivation strong, once I’m outta the door and off my butt I’m in the home stretch. Well before I lose the fire that I lit under my butt, I’m gonna get outta here. Ciao 4 Now

I have worked hard this week trying to exercise and eating healthy and clean 90% of the time. This week I have eaten eggs, beans, veggies, and rolled oats no more instant (yuck- still gettin used to it). I only use ms dash, occ small portion of salt (a pinch-literally), or salsa. My workout this week:

thurs: 6:30-7:30 Pole dance fitness
sat: 11:00-12:00 yoga/power yoga ~ 12:00-1:00 Exotic Chair dance fitness
Guess how much weight I’ve lost this week 0.2lbs ~ are you frickin kidding me. This is the BS that rocks my motivation, so I’m gonna try and kick it up another notch this wk coming up. Here’s my workout for the wk of 11/17-11/23:
mon: Biceps/Triceps ~ 4:15-5:00 zumba ~ 5:30-6:30 Pole dance fitness ~ 6:30-7:30 Exotic chair dance fitness
tues: Glutes ~ 6:30-7:30 Pole dance fitness ~ 7:30-8:30 latin dance aerobics

sat: 10:00-11:00 Pole dance fitness ~ 11:00-12:00 yoga

I worked my triceps 4 days ago and they are still so sore like I’m just now finally able to lift my arms above my head without them hurting a whole lot. It’s been a few weeks since I worked my triceps so I know that is part of it but still. I did extensions, kickbacks, pressdowns, and dips. I did 3 sets of 15 reps at low weight anywhere from 10-15lbs (free weights and machines). I don’t understand why I am so painful. Any tips or ideas? I’m gonna be working on my triceps this week, and this is my heavy weight, low reps week so if I can avoid this amount of soreness I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks

So I amped up the cardio and I hate cardio and I have gained 3lbs, for something that is supposed to be so good. Ugh healthy eating and exercise and not a single change in measurements and the pounds just keep going up or staying the same. I know it’s only been a week since I started doing more cardio but still. In case anyone wants to know what I’m doing for cardio 30 mins on the treadmill (run for 3mins, walk for 1min-trying to increase how long I can run), 1-2 hrs of pole or chair dancing (cardio that’s actually fun), or 10-15mins sprinting. I’m not giving up but it’s like after busting your butt after an 11hr work day to go to the gym for 1-1.5 hrs you want to see something worth continuing instead what I see is worth giving up. These are the times where I can find no motivation…no results…visually or in the measurements/scale, why keep doing this.

So today is the second day that I have gone to the gym and the people up front are chowing down on McDonalds filling the lobby with the smell of burgers and french fries. All I can think is omg are you kidding me. Where does eating McDonalds food and motivating people to be healthy and fit co-mingle!? No where, if so your favorite bodybuilding hottie would have a Big Mac, fries, and a McFlurry on there diet menu. I don’t know why it is irritating me so much but it’s like why in the gym of all places where people are busting there butt to fight the battle of the bulge are you as an employee eating junk. So that is my rant, I’m done I’d love to hear/read other people’s thoughts on this.

11 days left to meet my most recent short term goal (185lbs and 30% BF), I’m 3lbs and 2% away from the goal, I need to crack down on the cardio. I just started doing some plyo and at home weight free workouts on the days that I’m working 10-12 hrs and don’t have the time to get to the gym. Cardio wise, I’m trying to pick up hiking, sprinting, and jogging/walking on the treadmill. I also need to get some more control on the diet too, I’m eating clean about 80-85%. I’m cutting water back to 1/2 gallon a day, way to many bathroom trips with a gallon.

Hey everybody I’m trying to upgrade to jogging and running to burn more fat, I build muscle easily but my cardio is slacking so I am losing fat at a snail’s pace. Currently I bike on the stationary bike, walk outdoor or on the treadmill especially on an incline and light jogging, tiny bit of HIIT. How do I go about doing like 20-30 minutes of jogging/running good enough to burn some fat and start melting off some pounds. I hate cardio so any tips are very much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m looking for more outdoor locations to try and keep my attention when I’m doing outdoor cardio. I am located in Abingdon, MD which is in Harford County. Anyone know of any places?

It feels so good to be back in the gym, I waited the recommended time my doctor gave me and though I still have problems with getting dizzy, it is definitely a whole lot better than I was at the beginning of the week. I got my depo shot today (goes in my thigh) so I couldn’t do too much cardio today, my leg feels like lead like after you get a tetanus shot. I surprisingly only gained 2lbs after having no exercise for two weeks but now I’m back and can’t wait to kick ass at the gym.
