Swollen Knee Issues & Exercise

So for the past two days (thursday and friday) my knee has been swollen and I have been wearing a brace, uncomfortable but made standing and walking a bit easier.  I continued to go to work taking little to no medicine for pain and inflammation mostly just not wanting to take a bunch of pills and trying to tough it out.  So I took off exercising thursday and friday reluctantly but figuring it was for the best especially since at work I’d be standing for 8 hrs straight with a 30min break and didn’t want to make that anymore difficult than it already was.  I went last night without a brace and all of today as well, my knee is sore but no longer swollen so I also got to workout which just felt wonderful.  I made sure to listen to any cues my body might give me to say this was too much for my knee or was painful but I made it through the workout with little to no difficulty from my knee.  I’m trying to stay tough and not fall into my old excuses of using any little sorness and pain as a reason to not exercise.  Gotta keep fighting the fight so to speak haha

Stretch your quads really well…lots of times tight quads cause knee pain/swelling/inflammation!
