Calories & Macros

So I mapped out a eating schedule for tomorrow as advised to me from a fellow bodyspace member.  I plugged it into fitday and wow am I so off when it comes to my numbers.  I’m 5′2" and 197lbs last time I weighed myself and a strict vegetarian looking to loose fat and gain and maintain muscle.  With my body muscle gain is easy fat loss is hard.  My fitday food summary is: calories-1210, fat g-24.7, carb g-197.6, protein g-64.3.  It’s definitely not enough food intake and not a good protein to carb ratio.  Any advice and again I’m not interested in eating meat.  The core of my diet is eggs, beans, broccoli, nuts, oatmeal (rolled oats), whey protein powder, and casein protein powder.

Looks good! Good luck with tracking your intake. It can be a chore some days, but it’s worth it. To be honest I’ll confess that I don’t track it everyday, but I’ve been doing it for about a year now, so I know what I can and connot eat and still be in range.

Ovo/lacto huh? Me and my wife too. The main things we’ve found that help us is: 1. don’t go out to eat as much; 2. Just because something is vegetarian/vegan does not mean it’s good (or even OK) for you; 3. portion control and 4. exercise.

    Good luck!!!
