Passed Out/Fainted
So I’ve been sick since sunday, major sinus issues but took some otc meds seemed to be managing just fine. Yesterday (Tuesday) I was at work feeling crappy but hey I’m sick. My head felt funky but I figured I was getting another sinus headache. I had just finished my lunch and I passed out falling out of my chair, it freaked me out and I just couldn’t come back from it. An ambulance and a hospital trip later, I’m back home with some drugs and no explanation as to why I passed out, the only concerns were my high heart rate and funky breathing. I forgot to ask the doctor when I was at the hospital because all I wanted to do was eat and sleep. So I’m gonna ask you guys and hopefully someone will respond, when should I start back working out!? I’ve worked out once this week out of the 4-5 planned workouts I had for this week, obviously health is more important but still. Thanks to anyone who offers there advice.

i would have to say that since you passed out, you might wanna wait till the meds you got from the hospital have started working, so if i had to suggest a date to TRY and start back, i would say next Monday.
but thats just my opinion

In my opinion, I would suggest waiting until you’ve COMPLETELY recovered. That would mean no workouts until your body has recouperated. Then you can come back strong and give it 110%. Hope you feel better. Best of luck!

I agree with Kitjai26 you need to have completely recovered before you return to the gym. Pass out should not be taken lightly and it is not something you want to happen to you while you are at the gym. You can seriously get hurt.

I suggest following-up with your doc to make certain you’re good to go back to the gym. You wouldn’t want to pass out while working out. Good luck. I’ve had sinus problems before and they can put a real crimp on training.

Aside from the workouts, I would consult an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor if you can. I was having sinus issues for years and my regular doc kept giving me ill advice and otc meds that didn’t help. Finally I was referred to an ENT and found out I had Chronic Sinusitis which had taken over most of my sinus cavity (only seen by CT Scan). Last June I had sinus surgery and have never felt better. The Neti Pots also do wonders to keep your sinuses clear. *just a thought*
Hope you feel better soon!!
