Failure…that’s just how I feel

Today I made so many bad diet decisions it’s ridiculous I am not only frustrated and angry with myself cuz I have no one to blame but myself but I feel like a total failure.  I had a half of a tasty cake brownie, probably like 6 oatmeal raisin cookies, and a whole 12inch hot veggie sub.  Now I feel bloated and just disgusted with myself.  I know I’m only into my 3rd week of eating right and working out but I just feel like I ruined it all and right before I do my weekly weigh in tomorrow.  My gym is closed already today, cuz I had a late day at work.  I’m tired from work and stressing out so I think I’m just gonna take a nap and once it gets cool take the dog for a long walk and do some plyometrics.  IDK!?  Ahhh why can’t loosing weight be easy hehe….eh it’s worth the challenge that I know.

Hey, don’t beat yourself up too badly. If it was easy we would all be super-models. But anything worth doing is worth doing right, learn from your experience, pick yourself up and try again tomorrow. Keep up the good work - you’ll get there!

So you slipped for one day out fo three weeks, no big deal! Everyone is entitled to a bad day if not more. Don’t look at it so negative. That just makes it worse. Your already finding a positive by going for a walk and doing polymetrics. Just keep pushing and good things wil come. Stay positive.

Be positive and congratulate yourself for all the progress you have made. allow yourself a special day to eat things you crave(every week to ten days). eat small portions early on these days. you will enjoy it and you won’t feel negative. it will feel like something you earned. be strong in the mind. your progress will come .and in fact is already happening. you are doing great. keep it up!!!!!

I am going to second Brashanic’s recommendation on a cheat meal every week but I recommend a cheat meal not a cheat day. If you do a cheat day it is too easy to undo all your hard work during the week and I am worried that you won’t make progress and if you don’t see progress you may give up.
At this point I would make small changes and be careful not to outlaw any foods. Rather focus on eating 80% of the time clean/good food in proper portions and working out. You can do this :)

You did NOT ruin it! You may have messed up your diet for today but that is all the damage you did. Do not feel as though you have caused unrepairable harm to yourself or your nutrition program. It is just a day no less and definitely no more.
Now you need to say, “Marla, I forgive you.”
Give yourself a bit of leeway for being a human with cravings and the odd weak moment and do not let this undo any of the great work that you have achieved recently.
We all have cravings, weal moments, lapses or what ever you want to call them and you just proved to yourself, me and the rest of the Bodybuildikng.com family that you are human, just like the rest of us.
Marla, now that you have forgiven yourself (I hope that you have) tell yourself that what you did is behind you and that you are going to try your best not to let that happen again and when it is time for your next workout go about it as though nothing happened.
“God didn’t promise you a day without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But He did promise you strength for the day, comfort for your tears and a light for your way.”
    God bless.
