Didn’t get home until late. Managed to fit in a quick back and bicep workout. Should try to do more tomorrow morning. Had to strain to get reps finished — too late? Not enough protein?

O.K. Finally got Collin to work out. Had to slip the schedule back one workout, but weboth managed to get our lifts done clean.
Also had time for shoveling and sledding, so about an hour of cardio today.

Didn’t get home until late (presentation at the school), and Collin’s still not feeling well. Managed to get in some back and bicep work, but not really motivated. Hopefully Collin will be back in shape tomorrow.

Partner does’t feel well — won’t workout. So, nobody to spot me and tonight is a chest night. Tried to get Chris, but he wasn’t free until too late. I’ll just have to double-up tomorrow’s workout.

O.K. So my weight training is going well, and I’m gaining muscle, but I’m not loosing fat. Diet’s in good shape. Time to seriously get some cardio activity.
My first choice is running, but it’s damn cold and snowy out, so that’s not cutting it. And I really don’t like the treadmill scene.
So I made time and went to boxing workout. Once a week. One hour of pretty heavy activity. Who am I kidding: really heavy activity. No mitt contact, but sparring and drills.
Now I just need to figure out what I’m going to do to get my activity up for the rest of the week….

First post.
I’m here to try and get in shape. For me that means dropping weight — or at least getting my body fat down to the mid-teens — and bulking up. I don’t plan on competing or anything, but I’m getting old enough that I really need to focus on getting my body toned up while I still can.
I’ve been paying dues to the local Y, but haven’t gone in probably 6 months. Not enough time, excuses, excuses.
So, I decided to cut the crap and made space for a gym in my basement. Not only does that save money, but it also takes away my excuse about not having time. Best decision I ever made. As a bonus, the money budgeted for the Y now gets set aside to buy equipment.
Anyhow, I don’t know if I’ll use the blog or not but hopefully it will help keep me on-track.
