Re-climbing the ladder and the demons that go with it.

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Hey Everyone

I have been away for a while and now I am back. Although I was going to compete in the NPC June in 2008, that was delayed do to an old injury that reared its ugly head. Yep my back again. Now I have herniated L4, L5 and S1. I have been out of the gym since December of 2007. I am embarrass and ashamed when I look in the mirror. I went from 205lbs to 165lbs and 8% body fat to 15% body fat.  After months of physical therapy I have been cleared to get back in the gym. It is like starting all over again, from the 130lb weakling but with some new situations to go along with it. The economy has hit very hard with being out of work so food and supplements are going to be a challenge. Also a couple of months ago I was not feeling right more to the point depressed to some degree, lack of energy and low physical characteristics slow growth of body hair, etc. I finally got a full blood work up and it came out I have low testosterone. Can shit get any worse. So this is my starting point.. I am starting testosterone therapy in January after convincing my doctor that his creams and patches are worth garbage. Going intra-muscular, figure that with eating better and working out should help bring me back up to normal and hay maybe even above. I guess now I pray for muscle memory to kick in.  I joined a new gym where no one know me. I guess I am to embarrass to go to my old gym being the way I am now.

December 8, 2008My first workout did legs, felt like a failure. Even though I hung my ego at the door when I entered. Just remembering what I could lift and what I lifted was not even close.

I will keep this blog going to show my progress. If anyone has gone through this or has word of encouragement please would love to here some good advice.

I will be doing a 5 day routine working one body part a day using compound movements. As the base of my routine. In the near future I will list my exercises and weights to show my progress.

December 28

Starting to get back into the routine of things. and breaking the old bad habits of lazyness. Body is still weak compaired to what I use to do, but checking the ego at the door of the gym when I enter. Joined two new groups today on. Hay we all need some support sometime. I would recomened other to join. Hope everyone is going to have a great New Year. I know I will gettng my body back to where it was. I invite you all to come join me in keeping your new years resolutions. Comments are always welcome.
