Competing mind set
I want to make myself very clear; I want disabled people to workout and to improve and for Wheelchair Bodybuilding to grow, to have more compete, no matter who. This is my view of how to look at competing in bodybuilding.
If you compete in bodybuilding, I don’t care what your disability is or to what degree, you need to have the mind set to win. Bodybuilding is about winning, not about impressing others with your philosophy of life of what’s right and wrong. If you want to be a pastor join a church and do it there, there’s a lot of people who enjoy being told what to do and that they’re going to hell. Some say they compete for the love of sport, then buy a ticket and watch the show.
Bodybuilding has no seasons, it’s hard work 24/7 and if you disagree and want to do it your way and be a goof off, fine, but don’t point your finger at the guys who train hard all year around and look better then you.
People who pat you on the back are great, but that’s not a reason to do it.
I do it to improve myself and to be the best bodybuilder, long shot? Ya, but there’s no other mind set to have, if you don’t have it then why compete?
You don’t need to be a ******* to have this mind set, you can help others, in fact it’s best to, how do you know if you’re the best if you can’t beat the best, so help others be the best then beat them.
I have this mind set in all I do, I’m far from being the best, but without it I wouldn’t improve every year.
