awww holy hell
updated my stats today, sorely disappointed. been feeling huge in the gym, but i haven’t grown much over the past 2 months, which i suppose isn’t too much time anyways…
the part that hurts is that my legs actually got smaller, even though they got stronger, i’m hoping this was just fat somehow.
next week i am going to take an off/deloading week and then crank up the intensity. i think i’ve been spending too long in the gym, so i’ll do a week of HIT after my deloading week, and then start going back to 5×5 b/c that is what i really responded to in high school

If you think you are overtraining, then switch to the old school Mike Mentzer style of training consisting of 1-2 sets to failure per muscle group. Do this full body every other day untill you no longer go up in reps or weight from workout to workout. At this point you are getting stale and no longer overtrained and may resume a high volume routine.
