Been gone a long time!!

Been gone a long time.. and I am still pretty mad about it.. just to tell the story.. I went to the Arnold Classic(which I love to do every year) Long story short.. I was assaulted by a man a didn’t even know, resulting in a compound fracture to my  right humerus, had surgery 2 days after.. oh yeah..the worst 2 days of my life…Ughhh!!..and now have a 8 inch rod in my arm.. so I have been without lifting..and just started back in July.. with about a 15 lb max on my right arm. I am slowly getting back, but need to find my motivation, some inspiration and I hope returning to the place I found it before will help.

Yikes! Glad overall that you’re alright. Motivation….try my June 27 blog post. Motivation is overrated………be a Nike girl & JUST DO IT. Habit, determination & persistence…….those factors will keep ya going over the long haul.

Good luck. You CAN do it.

Everything happens for a reason in life, have faith.. Maybe this is the only way for you to strive to reach a higher point than ever before because you’re mad about what happened :)

OMG! That is crazy. I am glad you are doing better and don’t let some whacko or what he did to you stop you! You are a strong woman to have dealt with that and you will get back to where you were before that. Good luck to you on reaching all your goals!

Hmm, if this were cycling I’d say look at Lance Armstrong (cancer) or Greg Lemond (hunting accident). Your story is going to be so much more interesting because of adversity.

Ever watch "Dodgeball"? The scene with Lance is a classic.

I’m glad that you are on the mend! And I’m sorry that you had to experience such a horribly terrifying situation!

I’m glad that you are overcoming such a bad experience!

When I was 21 I had a man break into my apartment and I was incredibly lucky because I had fallen asleep on my couch instead of in my bedroom. When he opened my bedroom door, it woke me up and was able to get out of my house and call the police. Come to find out that he had raped and mutilated a girl down the block from me. So I was extremely lucky. But it took forever for me to feel comfortable living by myself again, and to this day I have have to triple check every door and window before I can go to bed.
