Hi, all!!! Sorry about layin low for the weekend. Took some rough mental blows from my STBEx. Some know what I mean!!! ENOUGH OF THAT!!! MOOOOOOOVING on!!!
How’s the muscles doin today?????
Had a fab AB day….. Did all I do ONE time through, as many times as I could, then added a lovely little addition I got from a member of my Gym crew: SHOUT OUT TO LEONARD GYM!!!
Here is it…
1 min-crunches
1 min-sit ups
1 min- side crunch
1-min-side crunch
1-min-flutter kick
1-min-ball crunch
You can rest 15 seconds between sets. The best thing about it? YOU are setting the pace and racing against your best time!! Whooo-hoo! And WHO BETTER to compete with?????
Also taking down my level of cardio…. I am losing too much weight! Also picking up some major eats!!! Gimme protein!!!!
Have an awesome night all. And tomorrow: ahem: the big reveal. Lets hope they are poppin! ( They haven’t been lately… ) Well, what will be will be!!! Have a terrific Tuesday night!!

So, when the muscles are running on restless 1-3 a.m. sleep with 2 hours awake and three hours dead to the world, the Energizer Bunny has a hard time pulling off the Friday circuit!
I did 2 miles straight up to he!! (ugh!), then the circuit… same as Wednesday, but lowered weight on a few. I DID, however, manage to add weight to the abduction- at 210 lbs now, (and that’s as high as that machine can go! ), and adduction- at 120 lbs. Whoo-hoo! I did leave out the pushups today. I’ll do those tomorrow!!!
You all have a Fantastic Friday, and I MEAN THAT!!! Hit’em harder than I did!!!

Oh, I was busy yesterday! No time for a blog! Managed a three mile walk, bathroom abs-4 sets, 3 miles on the bike, and a very interesting ab session. Some of the exercises I’ve been doing just aren’t cutting it anymore, so I’m makin up my own!! Did this one for the obliques: lay back on the incline holding a 25 lb weight. Twist your body so you can touch the weight to the floor on one side then back over to the other… real slow. Also held my arms full out to the side and back, and did full on incline crunches, at the top, reaching as far up into the air as far as possible, then arms back out to sides and back, slowly lower yourself back to the incline. Did a bunch of extended leg crunches, hanging leg lifts, hanging oblique lifts, and hanging parallel twists. All with three lbs on each leg. I tried to make it hurt!
So now, onto my title. I have to admit, I cheated Wednesday night. I wanted a McD’s cheeseburger. Got the double cheeseburger and an oreo McFlurry. Never had a McFlurry before! Delish! BUT… 4 hours later, it felt as if I had skipped supper entirely! And then it dawned on me why we, as a nation, are so very obese. We eat entirely too much, and yet we eat foods that lack any real nutritional value. Our bodies are starving for nutrients, so we are HUNGRY ALL THE TIME! We are an obese starving nation! And I find that an incredible thing to realize.
Eating clean ROCKS!!! It made all the difference in my body, and I’ve always tried to eat nutritious foods. But not like this. Wow, is all I can say. Eat Clean - Go Lean!!! And feel FANTASTIC!!!!
I’ll blog more later, got to get to the gym… oh, and it is hot out there… 3 miles around, one more time! Ltr!!!

Hi, all!!! Wow, what a workout today!!! Had the time, and made it work for me! Going to explain it pretty detailed, so hang in there:
Weights:
3 sets/12 reps per set Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Cybex Eagle or Nautilus Machines
Chest press: 100 lbs
Arm curl: 60 lbs
Fly delt: 85 lbs
Arm extension: 70 lbs
Arm row: 80 lbs
I do these 12 reps each, going from one to the next in a rotation fashion. THEN I do:
Leg extensions: 170 lbs
Seated leg curl: 110 lbs
Again, doing these alternating, one right after the other. Next is where I added in the new machines that I LOVE! Nautilus Nitro Plus… smooth, very smooth.
Rear delt/fly: 65 lbs
Incline press: 65 lbs
Seated dip (which I loooooove!!! Making my tris’ pop beautifully!!): 110 lbs!!!!
I alternate these three machines as well. Notice I go from arms to legs to arms to legs, you know, back and forth, but I try to do the circuit in a quick fashion, keeping up the heart rate yet paying attention to excellent form!! Next:
Leg press: 270 lbs
Seated leg press: 270 lbs
These I alternate, and the 1st machine sets up higher than the other, and tends to focus more on the butt and backs of legs, where the other seated machine that sits at a lower angle works the upper. It’s the machine I do my calf presses on, and single leg presses as well, which come next. (Just old BASE772, I kid you not, if I up the weights on this any more, the darn machines are going to shoot me across the room!!! Won’t THAT be one for an AVI!!! lol!!) Next, in rotation:
Calf leg presses: 270 lbs
Single leg press: 170 lbs
Next, another alternating set of:
Prone leg curl: 70 lbs
20 man-style military push-ups
Abduction: 180 lbs
Adduction: 120 lbs
This is all after 30 minutes of the "STRAIGHT TO HELL MACHINE" where I climb up 3.5 miles on the stair escalator machine.
Oh, and I also walked 3 miles this morning. It was HOT.
FABULOUS DAY folks!!! Hope yours was as productive!! NOW?? To get ready for the softball double-header tonight. Energizer Bunny??? More like CrAzY PeRsOn!!!

Sizzle, I GUESS!!! Glad I wasn’t out working OR working out in that heat! managed 6 miles in the cool cool cool gym, too. Ahhhh, AC!
You all take care if you’re out in this, k?
To finalize my day, I will be going to softball practice in about 30 minutes….. still too hot to do anything like that for fun. But.. we’ll pull through, and hopefully look more like a team for tomorrow night!!

I have realized after months of bodybuilding and clean eating that I am paying more attention to people around me, and I can see clearly if they workout, AND if they are eating healthy! It’s quite amazing. Especially women over 40! I never believed women older than I who gave me the dreaded "you may look good now, but wait til you’re 40" warning. I can honestly say, working out all my life, having two babies and continuing to maintain my shape.. wearing bikinis, strutting my ’stuff.’ When you hit that 40 mark?? Whoa!!! Do things CHANGE. Might even hit you before 40!
Why I am saying this, I guess, is because I find what has happened to my body with clean eating and weightlifting to be a miracle. I’m stunned. I’m thrilled. And I am in the BEST shape of my LIFE.
So ladies, when you hit that wall, and nothing seems to work.. look at your diet. Because it really is nothing but High Octane Fuel! What you put into your engine is how good it’s going to perform… and the benefits are INCREDIBLE! And I still want to thank BASE772. I owe him so much for telling me about this site! You guys are incredible. The act of motivating you motivates ME, and I can’t thank ALL of you enough!
Oh, and lastly… I had a FANTASTIC 3 mile walk and climbed that escalator straight to HELL today.. the only time I think climbing straight up 4 miles takes you to hell, too, I’d say! Yeah, a photo-op of that??? It sure ain’t pretty! Nothing but sweat, baby!! NOTHIN but SWEAT!!! FEELS OOOOO so GOOD, though!!!!!
And the circuit was amazing! I sooo love MONDAYS!!!! Nothing like hitting the weights hard after two days off! Glorious gorgeous muscles, here I come!!!

Went first thing this morning on my three mile speedwalk… and just about made it home before the 100% humidity hit. Love the rain… cooled me down at that very end. It was nice!
Barely had a chance to shower and change, and it was off to my softball practice, where I got another shower… this time a DOWNPOUR! 3 hours later, and it’s still raining here. At least it brought in some cooler weather… for TODAY! Means humid city tomorrow!
Can’t remember if I blogged it or not, but I did get a 1 1/2 mile run in yesterday morning, and finished the three miles speedwalking. Too hot to run!!! But it still felt awesome.
Have a terrific Saturday evening all! Power up those muscles for next week!

Back to the basics. I missed my curcuit, and my team needs me to be in working condish for our games! Burning out my muscles Monday left me in no shape to throw on Wednesday nites game, so for now, we’ll stick with what I know best… it IS working for me after all.
Late workout… had to take my daughter to the airport. 4 hour trip and I was ready to get the muscles moving again!!! Man, do I hate to sit still for that long. Being a gradeschool art teacher is going to be SWEEEEET! (Cause I already know, I’ll NEVER get a chance to sit down ALL day!)
Gym added new equipment, and I LIKE it! But I forgot to write it all down … so I’ll try to get it Monday. Fantastic workout though. Ready to start up the weekend!!! Have a fab one, one an all!!!!!!
Need to add a shout out to BASE772. LOVE LOVE LOVE Universal PUMP!!! Took it on a empty stomach right before going into the gym, felt it slowly and gently kick in as I was just finishing my 30 minutes of cardio on the ‘escalator" machine. (BTW, 3.5 miles, straight u-up!) That PUMP is amazing stuff. And my tummy is sensitive, too! Ladies, I only take 1 red, 2 yellow, 2 brown, 1 white. I’mjust not convinced I NEED it ALL. ****REQUEST TO UNIVERSAL….. A PUMP FOR THE LADIES PLEASE?????****** We aren’t 180-200+lb men. Could you PLEASE consider a special one for our weight range??? Pretty please? Or—-can someone tell me if the entire PUMP is indeed SAFE for me to take? THNX all!

Ab-licious day to be had….. and it WAS! Once again, started out my a.m. with a three mile POWERWALK, and onto the gym for my 6 miles on the bike, mixed intervals of intensity, of course, and on into the smokin hot freeweight room. OMGoodness, it is HOT in that room! Same "Aubrie" routine… kicks the abs but good, but found I was pullin a rookie mistake (oops!) I placed the 10 lb weight BEHIND my head this time on the incline crunch… much better results that way! Flying high on the feel good endorphines now!!!
Hope you all ROCK THE WEIGHTS THIS AFTERNOON! And for all you lovely’s workin in this heat, bless ya, and DARN if you don’t impress me to go home and workout after ALL THAT! Talk about motivatin me!!!
