So I thought I’d up my calorie intake, mainly cause I was HUNGRY ALL THE TIME! I think I revvvvvved up my metabolism! I wasn’t really serious about losing 5 more pounds. I’ve lost so many inches since January, it’s crazy! BUT, not in the past week. The muscle looks great, slim, toned. Need to take some pics. I’ll also measure myself… should have already! I just wasn’t expecting WEIGHTLIFTING to be so AMAZING! I’m back in my 19 year old body!!!! How is that POSSIBLE??? I tell ya, I’m so ready to push these muscles. Looking into pre-workout pumps to really take off on the muscle increase. I’m just so excited. And my legs are showing tone I’ve never seen before, even when I was 19. I’m, like, ALL SMILES!!!!!! I realize, after this week off, I will be more rested, muscles ready, and able to dive headfirst into some incredible training. jsriederer, the challenge is sooooo ON!

Three mile a.m. walk. Perfect way to great a blessed sunny morning! On to the gym, where I had little time and alot to fit in. Decided to try just TWO sets of 15 reps, but up’d the wieght on all machines by 10 pounds. It was GREAT! I worked almost all my parts to failure. Then needed to do a set of Abs,just to make up for no abs this whole week. It’s ok, though. I’ll make up for it. Already did a LITTLE more cardio this evening. 3 sets.

Thought I was gaining, but lost another pound. Hmm. So maybe a little less cardio? Don’t know. In ‘no mans land’ in the weightlifting arena. HELP!

Yeah, enjoying this summer va-kay already. Classes start up again soon enough. Had a small procedure on Tuesday at Dr’s. Results back soon. BUT, no training allowed that day. Walked three miles yesterday a.m. Went to gym LATE in day, but had to stop halfway through weights. Nearly blacked out! Thinking too low of blood pressure. So, I’m a little interested in seeing what today will bring. Never had that happen before.
Gorgeous weather here, though!

Yep. Focusing on my legs from this point. Doing more inside and outside the gym. At the gym today, I raised my Seated Leg and Leg Squats to 250 lbs, Single Leg to 160, raised the Leg Extension to 150. Trying to kick it up. Outside the gym, I plan to ride my bike alot more, walk my 3 miles every morning, and do sprints up the 16 stairs in this house, taking them two at a time, at least 10 times every night. ( I know it’s alot, but I have alot of frustrated energy to burn off.) Got to say, the Nordic StairMaster is awesome. Ladies, if you want a killer 30 minutes, put that baby on a level above 10. You will climb 3 miles at level 10, or do what I do and climb 3 1/2 in 30 minutes on level 12. Still doing everything else, but I want my legs to be defined more than they are, and nothing but pure toned muscle.
Today, after my 30 minutes on the stairmaster, I also pulled for 15 minutes on the row machine, focusing more on my legs than my arms. It was great! And TODAY I tried my All The Whey Strawberry for the first time… YUM-MEEE!

Ok, so I have a pair of legs. Not how I WANT them to be… yet! They are always the last things on me to get in shape. I’ll get them there, though! Actually gained two pounds throughout this week, but my clothes are looser. I figure it’s muscle???? I hope so. Whatever, I didn’t REALLY want to lose more anyway. Don’t want to risk losing the IMPORTANT things! Anyway, that leggy photo will be my BEFORE leg photo.

Saturday: My three mile walk to catch some vita-D’s. More abs later, too, just for fun
Sunday: Well, I didn’t DO those abs yesterday, but the walk was great! Today, another 3-miler. Love that fresh air.

So today I managed to climb 3.5 miles in 30 minutes on the Nordictrak Stairmaster. Killer for the legs! I love to mix things up. Keeps me from getting bored… also tricks those muscles to submit to my WILL!!!! So I do a minute of 1 step at a time, then a minute of 2 steps at a time. But today, I decided to change up my ‘1-steps’ to different foot placement as well… one minute normal, the next single step with foot placement all the way to the edges! WOW!! Legs were beggin for mercy!!! hehehe.
I know alot of you ladies like to do your cardio last, but I like to do mine first. It warms me up, and really makes me feel like the blood is rushing, pumpin and cleaning out those veins and arteries. I love it!
Then went for the weights! Added a back row to my routine. Never been concerned with my back. I can’t see it. But after seeing all you ladies looking so fine from behind, thought I better add some moves. AND!!! I went ahead and started a regular routine of 3 quick sets of 20 pushups– once again, male military style. Last 4 were tough…. but the arms are happy now! And they look good, too. I do my pushups while looking straight ahead into the mirror so I can truly watch my form. Works well for me. After a few weeks, I want to see just how many I can do in a row…. can’t wait!
And, as always, had the after workout high. Puts me in such a good mood!

Terrific ab day. (I always choose to do cardio first. I feel it warms me up. Gets me focused. Since I’ve ALWAYS done cardio, so it’s not a big deal for me to do it before my weights or ab days. Besides, got to take care of the heart!) Rode 6.5 miles on the bike first, increasing the intensity every minute for 5 minutes, then lowering and starting over again at my original start point. Love the bike on ab days, since it works my legs in a way weightlifting doen’t. Proceeded to abs, focusing so intently on form I didn’t bother to look at the time. Ended up working my abs for over 2 hours. Nice and slow, worked them deep. Felt great, especially since I had to skip abs Tuesday due to a ‘home’ emergency: leaking waterheaters can really give you a workout, too. Am beginning to see more muscle formation on the sides and upper inside of the external obliques. The upper "4" pack is beginning to show at rest as well. So great to see/feel results!
