The motivation of embarrassment

I can’t describe the feeling that I have about posting my picture right now, wait yes I can.  Pure embarrassment!!!  But, that’s my motivation.  I’ve made a deal with myself that I can only change the picture when my body changes.  So in case you were wondering, yes that’s really me, and I don’t know what I was thinking when I posted that picture.  Feel free to post a comment positive or negative.  At this point it will all be motivation for me.  Later.

You’ll be so glad you did this when you can compare this to your progress pics! I wish I had pics from when I started my own transformation. Congratulations on taking this step and I wish you every success!

Thanks for the word of encouragement. I am glad that I’m doing this.

Posting your pictures is so important. It holds us accountable to ourselves and keeps us focused on our long term goal. It is very motivating to see your progress month to month!

    Good job doing it!

Kris, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I DEFINITELY feel you about the embarassment thing with the first photo. Hell, I look like I’m pregnant with twins in mine, but NHBuckeye is right when he says that it’s vital for motivation. It’s easy to start a body-changing routine, but it’s not the easiest thing to stick with. Plus, your mind will play tricks on you when you look in the mirror. You’ll focus on the parts of your body that you like and not "see" the parts you don’t. Photos give it to you straight, warts and all. And trust me, nothing is cooler than seeing progressively less of yourself in photos spanning a length of time like 60 days or longer. Best of luck to you!
