Today i had my first bike ride and exercise in 4 weeks since I have had my flu it was good to get out on the bike although the traffic was pretty bad i enjoyed the ride and i was able to get up some of the hills better than expected. 42km i didnt want to push it to hard but got some speed in spots and pumped the legs for some little spin bouts. i will need to get back into the gym as well now that i am starting to feel better. Ive joined my old club as well so now i will be able to race on the track again, and not just race with the vets, i am hoping to race at daribin indoor velodrome durring the winter as sometimes its going to be just too wet and rainy. So i put my track bike togther last night. i put my good tires on the wheels so will be interesting to see how they go. would be nice to replace my roadbike tires with some good ones though now. I am just going to have to build up my training again. looking forward to it and hopefully i can get down to 80kg i am 83.6 now. futures looking good.

Im wrapped, I have just got to the stage where i am going into unchartered territory since i was In my early 30’s My weight today was 82.7kg and my waist is 92cm breaking my old records for 2007 where i initially had my goal of getting under 12% Very pleased with that. i dont think i am as muscular now as i was then in 2007 but got to start somewhere obviosly i have to try real hard to keep my muscle and at the same time loose the bodyfat. which is a hard thing to do initself, so in a way i am back to even more or less so any progress now is a double bonus and thats a thing to be happy about.

During my holiday up to Gosford to visit the parents i got some good training in. Walking and running. i only got to do 1 easy bike ride but it was nice. Very happy about my running hill sprints, and got to the gym once. The diet could have been better but on returning i did not add on too much so thats good, My stats are 84.8kg waist 95cm now, a few pictures were taken up there and i was surprised how they looked you dont relize until you take some pics. Everyone was happy for me that i had lost weight and was looking good, they got abit sick and tired of me talking about nutrition, my family are not realy into moderation where food is concerned.
Continuing into the new year , i want to consolidate my efforts and get into great shape obviosly loose more fat and hopefully i can get to a stage that i can say I am ripped, improove on my bike racing and possibly even get into B grade. I would realy love to get to a stage that i can stay with the A Grade rides at the club championships.
Make it a great year!

The other day I got to 100cm waist, it made me so happy, it means i am on track, i can ramp up my training even more. Its funny how we set imaginary lines in the sand were things can start from.
Recently i had a talk with a friend where she was saying how she did 35 min cardio On Level 5 grad 2 on the treadmill for the first time up to grad 2, and was thinking of going to grad 3 I said thats great, its a good confidence booster knowing you can push it to grad 3 easily next time, she said maybe. i said what you mean maybe? of coarse it is you went for 35 min!, if you could only do 10min then that would be different. she said i suppose so… suppose so, she said, might push it to 3 next time. What i am saying is with possibly a shorter time you could push it to 3, she said i know i could.
We sometimes draw these imaginary lines where we think we can go no more but looking more closely we find that we can surpase those limits with allittle hard work and creative thinking. Have you heard of the flies flying inside a bottle with the lid on?, and when you take the lid off the flies stay in the bottle. We get so used to thinking a certain way we get set in our patterns, no i cant do this or i can’t do that, i aways train like that, not willing to try differnt things, dont think like that. give it your all and work hard to break those barriers dont be the fly in the bottle who only knows one way and that is round and round. break free and fly to your new destiny.

Race Metec D Grade
Lasted about 20 min.
A very nice day outside, decided to go have brekky asked for 5 eggs whites and 1 full egg, and rest of the big breakfast the same which basicaly is just 2 halfs of cooked tomato and a couple of rashes of bacon and a couple of pieces of toast which had margarine on them I must ask them not to put that on next time and had a mugachino and this cost me $14:50 what a rippoff.
After doing some shopping I decided to go race seeing as it was such a warm day. even though i have not done much training. only on the turbo trainer.
It was a circuit race i figured if i couldn’t finish it i could just walk back to the car instead of riding back 20 k on my own. When I arrived they noticed that i had not been around for 6 months, but the handicapper decided to put me in the same grade as what i left on which was d grade.Anyways I started good I thought I should stay towards the front so I don’t get the wiplash and have to work harder at the back, but being so close to the front I ended up having to do a turn, which was not such a good idea considering my fitness levels as i had to lead and go into the wind. Anways I ended up lasting 20 min of a total of 1hr I stopped for a lap or two and then i joined the bunch once more but could not hold on to them and then tried for a few laps to stay with E grade they were going not too bad but that wore me out too when the guys up the front made it hard.
So all up some peoples were glad to see me riding again and I had a nice day out i think i even got alittle tanned as it was so warm. I did not have any troubles with my gears like i did last time as well when I raced metec so I was glad about that.

Even though bb is abit counterproductive in regards to cycling performance is there any bike riders or people who are using bike riding to loose some weight or to get ready for racing ? id be interested to chat with you in regards to your training, weights as well as riding.

Since I have started training again, i have been pleased with the weights that i have been doing.I have kept some strength which is good, i think my work has helped me out there, i have not gone through all the exercises yet, gradually i will get to all the exercises.
Its hard to tell if i am overdoing it but least its a start. I have not lost any weight but my waist measurements have come down. Gradualy my eating will improve, need to start eating beans and broccoli again and minimize my carbs at night.
