What was he thinking; What was I?
So I was in spin class today, yes I do spin, great sweaty cardio that works off of legs strength, so your legs do not look like those of marathon runners.
Anyways, I was in spin class today, and the teacher is a super happy Spanish dude. Class starts out with two boy band songs, and I am like, WTF are we listening to? On that note, how do I properly and respectfully ask, please, never do that again?
Then we lead of into â??Girls just wanna have funâ??, and I am like uuhhh. That is a guy right?
That song finally ends and it breaks off into THAT song from Top Gun â??Danger Zoneâ??. This throws me for a complete loop. I am thinking, why didnâ??t we just start out with this song. An awesome song, inspirational, makes me want to go drift my car around 90 degree turns, it is a workout song. Enjoyed it and killed myself through it.
But then THE song comes on, a Queen song, â??Donâ??t Stop Me Nowâ??. I love this song, not really because of the song necessarily, not saying it is a bad song, but because every time I hear this song one vision comes to mind, that scene from Shaun of the Dead where they are beating the bartender at the Winchester. So all this time I am trying to push myself hard, but all I can think of is pool sticks slapping an old manâ??s back to the beat of the rhythm. I just started laughing.
Boy bands? Girls just wanna have fun? Now that will get you fired up...or NOT. Maybe he thinks the women like it?
Hmmm....... boy bands, danger zone, then queen..... I am bettin he wasn't really concerned about the ladies.........hehe
Love the post! However, one minor change and it would have been perfect...
Last paragraph. You should have written: every time I hear this song "One Vision" comes to mind
The double entendre would have have been subtle, but we Queen fans would have picked up on it ;)
