Misleading conversations
So conversations that I over hear quite often about people’s excuses of why they do not work out.
"These ____________ (fill in the blank: models, athletes, fit people, etc.) always talk about getting up at 5am and working out, running, and then eating a well balanced breakfast. It is obsession; it seems to overcome their life. I do not want working out to be my life. They have such harsh schedules.”
My initial thought is usually laughter, because in a strange way, not doing things inhibits your life, so in turn it is your life up for grabs. Not being fit stops you from doing things, going places, living longer.
My second thought is, most of us do not see fitness as taking over our lives, but more or less liberating us, to be able to do the things we enjoy, longer, without struggling or causing pain, we understand that it is our lives, and so we must take care of it the best way we can.

Not to mention, when you get into a healthy routine… you have more energy, so you WANT to get up earlier and do more things.

This is what I have to say to those type of people…"Obsession is a word the LAZY use to describe the DEDICATED!"

Sadly, most people are simply too lazy to do the hard work of exercise & healthy eating, in order to live a fit & healthy life. I hit the gym at 5am, so I guess I’m one of those obsessed people. Obsessed with feeling better at 47 than I did at 25, as well as being fitter & in better overall health.
It it doesnt’t take take hours & hours each day. My workouts range from about 50 to 80 min’s. It just takes commitment & consistency. Oh! Sorry, I almost forgot…..most people are too lazy to turn off the TV & video games, and put down their fork, to do some work.

Liberating, enlightening, energizing, motivating, you name it. Isn’t it funny how those people(subconsciously) want to be healthier and live longer, and be better looking and be stronger, BUT they don’t want or understand the work that comes with it. This stuff becomes an obsession because once you see results, you don’t want to stop. Who would want to stop looking good lol?
