See You Basketball For A While :(

My injuries during my weekly basketball games are becoming unbelivable! Last week my shoulder, this week my glute and hammies. They are muscle strains but they seem to be happening a lot since I am gaining strength and muscle size. Every Monday I go to the gym and have to fess up to my trainer who then is trying to work around the injuries all week only to have me come in the next week with a new one! This is not the best comp training…I would imagine.

I also think that I only have 16 more weeks to gain and one ripped muscle at this stage will mean I can’t compete early next year and all my hard work will be down the toilet. I am so sad because I love my basketball and the social aspect of it as well. My husband who is an ex athlete and my trainer say I can’t do both…body building is one thing and a rough sport like basketball is another..at least while you are competing!

Now just to tell my team….they won’t be happy!

Too Many Hot Baths….Not good

Flooded our house on Saturday night! My legs were so crippled after Fridays workout that I asked my Hubby to run the bath upstairs for me….well the next time we remembered about the bath is when all the electricity went off and we heard the water feature in our back room….we don’t have a water feature!!

Lots of cleaning up..always great fun when you CANNOT even bend your legs! OMG the DOM’s made me so cranky. My legs are only today getting better. I wish I didn’t go on holiday, you can’t believe that 12 days off would make such a difference.

Really pushing the envelope at the gym lately. I am training so hard and eating lots of clean food and it is starting to show. I am getting lots of comments from people at the gym, and last night I saw the seperation of my hammies and quads and my triceps are very noticable…

My life is training, shopping, preparing, cooking, weighing, storing and eating and eating and eating. Eating clean all the time is time consuming. I feel quite boring lately, I can imagine I will feel even more single minded leading into the comp.

I think I am turning into a chicken..ate a lot of it today..lol

Sereve DOM’s - Day Off

I am soooo sore. My triceps, biceps, lats and calves! I feel like I can’t function properly. Went this morning and had a great massage, felt tired and exhausted after….so day off for me. Went out for lunch with my hubby (clean, of course!) and had a lazy day. Feel good that my body is responding to my stepped up routine.

Still eating enough to get some muscle, calories slightly down today because I didn’t work out but protein still high.

What a luxury having my husband home. Relaxing day and a bath with salts!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I love my man!

Working Hard…Neighhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I am loving these hard, hard workouts. MM is making things very interesting…supersetting sometimes and adding in lots of new exercises. He is leaving nothing to chance. Every part of my body is assessed and the workouts amended accordingly. I feel like a horse for sale…lol. Even when I am doing my exercises his eyes are calculating my muscles. I am loving the percision the the exercises now, my form is kept soooo tight.

Eating more and more now, still very, very clean. Around 2300 calories and as a woman this figure scares me but I would hate to cut and not have enough muscle on me…better to be safe than sorry.

Hubby is back and comes to the gym with me most mornings. It is great having someone to talk to and someone to sometimes make my shakes….yummmmmmmmmmmmmm they are so much better when someone else makes them.

Back From Thailand….

Back from the great holiday to Thailand. We had the best, most relaxing holiday..with lots of sun, beach and water. The kids bonded back with their Dad…and my biggest decision was whether or not to lie on the beach or by the pool.

I managed to workout a few times along with a some cardio along the beach. Lots of curries and seafood and of course rice…oh and beer! I was so good with no sugar, chocolate or too much food.

So that’s the good news and the bad was of course the inevitable stomach upset which of course started on the plane on way home. Lots of fun NOT!!!! of course now I have lost too much weight grrrrr What about my bulking??? and now nursing the kids…………

Back to gym tomorrow for a great workout with MM who claims he will be building me up again quickly….I can’t wait!!
