"thats not enough. very low compare to other sports"???????
first of all, its not a yearly contract, its a PRIZE that you get IF you win the Mr. Olympia.
and they are involved in an other contests besides the mr. o
second, Bodybuilders are not in it for the money, they bodybuild for le LOVE of it. its a life style. football players lose the love they had for their sport as soon as they become pros.

it’s very true what’s been said about bodybuilders having a love for the sport. It’s a fact that when you take a person and pay them for something they already love doing they generally begin to like that activity less. Why? Because motivation shifts from the "love of the game" to an expectation of rewards as motivation to do the activity. Thus, when the cash stops, there’s no motivation and thus no dice. So in a way, because pro bodybuilders make less than athletes such as football players or baseball players, it could be argued that they posess a greater love for their sport than the super-rich do.
