I ate what I thought was quite a bit yesterday but I ended up with only 1810 cals. for the day.  The funny thing is, I only felt hungry once in the morning.  Hopefully I won’t be starving all day today.

Sleep

I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, I think I have too much on my mind.  I’m working on having a garage built and I keep stressing over the amount of money it’s costing.  I also have lots to do around the house, and I start back to work next week.  Time is short.  I think tomorrow I’ll hop on the bike and take a "Mental Health" day.

Cutting

August 18, 2008

I want to be cut.  Easier said then done.  It takes a lot a self discipline to get there. I have to constantly worry about how many calories I eat and I’m always hungry.  That part is not the worst of it.  The worst part is - loss of size and strength.  I’ve lost 1/2 off my arms and it really bothers me.  It took a lot of work to get what I have and it seems to be going away too quickly.  Now mind you, I haven’t been lifting because of the move, but a 1/2 inch is a lot.  My max bench was also taking a nose dive this summer as I worked to get my diet under control.  If you ask me the secret of bodybuilding or what the best supplement is - it’s food!  Without it you lose size and strength.

Calories for yesterday - 2110 cals.

2132 for yesterday.  I ate well at all meals and even turned down carrot cake.  Like I heard somewhere, "nothing tastes as good as this looks."

We went out for dinner last night again.  Besides being expensive, I always overeat.  I don’t make good choices at a restaurant.  Calories for the day - 3280.  You can’t lose weight with those numbers.

Busy Day

August 14, 2008

I’m down to the final trips to get stuff from the other house.  I swear someone is putting more stuff in my old house!  I then need to start painting so we can rent the house out.  I’m also working on getting a garage built at the new house so I spend a lot of time on the phone and meeting with contractors.  I also judged a bike show last night at a bike night at a bar near the old house.  All of this while unpacking and getting my mower in shape.  My grass needs mowed badly.

I have not worked out in 2 weeks and it is killing me!  I need to pump some iron!! Moving stuff is not the same. Cutting sucks!  I walk around starving all of the time.  I look forward to food/meals like it’s my birthday!  I’ve found that keeping busy keeps my mind off of food.
Calorie news - 2432!  A burger and fries plus a beer at the bar.  I’m still losing so it’s OK. I’m shooting for 16%BF at this point.

Moved In!!!

We finally have most of our stuff to the new house with help from friends.  My training has consisted of heavy lifting and stair stepping for cardio.  My diet has suffered miserably because we eat out for dinner and we’re tired and starving so everything on the menu looks good, even crap food.  I still managed to lose 2 more pounds and kept the bodyfat percentage in the 17s.  Once we get situated, I’ll get back to the gym.  School starts soon so I’ll get back in a routine with weightlifting during my prep period and cardio after work.

Calorie intake for Monday was 2080 and Tuesday was 2270.  Before that I had a couple of 3000 cal days and some 2500 cal days and some I gave up keeping track.  Saturday I actually ate a doughnut (first time in a year).  Time to get back in the groove.

Goal Met!!!

We took possession of the house yesterday, so I’ll be running truckloads of stuff down there instead of working out.  I’m still sticking to my diet, because it’s working!  I measured my weight and bodyfat this morning and I’m down to 197 lbs.!  I’m very excited to be back under 200 lbs.  My bodyfat percentage was 17.1%!!!  My goal was to be in the 17’s by Sept 1st and I’m there early.  Now to go for 16%!

Calories - Friday 1760, I ate well that day.  Saturday 1755, I had a huge burger and then starved the rest of the day.  Sunday 2144, Sunday is alway a little heavy, my wife and I go out for breakfast.

The posts in this blog will be a little slow for the next week until we get settled in.

Finished Paint

August 1, 2008

I finished painting the motorcycle I was working on and as promised here’s a picture.  It feels good to have it done and ready to ship out.  I like the feeling of accomplishment and I love creating something for other people.
