Is the hernia monster coming?

September 4, 2009

Today I had to do a full body routine at the gym, because I won’t be able to work out the next couple of days due to a bodybuilding show.

Now, I started off with squats. I had only done 2 sets and not being near my max when I felt this weird pain in my groin. It felt like someone was giving me an epic wedgie! I didn’t do any more sets of squats and moved on to some incline bench instead. The pain kept following me around, but eventually it disappeared. I had hoped that today would be the day I could test my max deadlift, but I wouldn’t dare go near that exercise, when my body reacted like that.

If anyone reads this and has any experience with hernia, please do tell…

Starting up with a clean slate.

August 30, 2009

Out with the old - in with the new! That seems to be the theme for me right now.

I’ve been away from this board for a long time now. Been hanging out a little over on MD and later on RxMuscle when John Romano and Dave Palumbo started up on that project, however, none of those sites have the awesome feature that BodySpace is. So now I’m back and I’m planning on using BodySpace if not daily then almost daily :) I’ve deleted all my old posts to start off with a fresh start.

My life in general is about that right now - fresh starts. I’ve quit my job because I was bored with it and there was no hope for progress. I cut a sweet deal with my boss so I got 5 months’ severance. I put my apartment up for sale - I wanted to get some new inspiration to my life, and finding a new place to live will do just that. I’m thinking about leaving Europe and maybe find a job somewhere in Canada or the US, even though I know times are tough over there, much like in the rest of the world. Anyway, life’s an adventure and I had forgotten all about it - I was just living the same way with the same old routines day in and day out without giving much thought to what I want out of life and what I could do with my life. No more, says I!!! :)

Glad to be back here - I hope I can catch up with all my old friends on here real soon. Have a great day ;)
