My shoulder hurts everday because i lift weights. My father, an ex powerlifter, and articles i have read make me believe it is because of me benching heavy weights. The articles basically tell me i am having rotator cuff problems and i should work on them. So i added a rotator cuff excersize to my worout. Then my dad says its cuz i lift heavy weights..im just gonna ignore him. The ex powerlifter told me to stop benching with a barbell because there are movement restrictions, and he told me to start using Dumbbells for incline, decline, and regular presses. Im going to start this tomorrow, and then i have to go to a physical therapist wednesday, so they will give me more info on it. But for now, my doctor never said stop lifting, so tomorrow i start again at 9. Any advice on what to do, information, actual experiences of this would be greatly appreciated.
