The belly is BACK!

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

I’ve worked hard for the past 9 months to lose the 60lbs gained during my last pregnancy. After acomplishing one goal after another I’ve finally come very close to my pre-pregnancy weight/size. So a few weeks ago I get the news that hubby and I are expecting our 2nd child! Yes folks…I am doing it all over again.

I really want to be healthy this time around. Instead of pigging out on sweets and junk food while lounging around every chance I get and stacking on 60lbs, I would like to keep the weight gain to a minimum 20-25lbs. I will eat healthy and continue to workout as long as I can.

Are there any prego mommies to be out there with good advice? Anyone who stayed active throughout their pregnancy and felt great while doing it? I’d like to hear from you…

Why do you exercise so much? You’re not fat!…

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Ughh… If I hear this one more time I’m going to burst! There are people out there who actually view a healthy lifestyle as a negative. Some see my dedication to achieve my highest level of fitness as an obsession or even an illness?! I am not annorexic nor do I think I am a huge blob. I truly believe that we must invest in ourselves first. I am my most valueable asset and if I am going to be the best wife, mother, etc that I can be I must be in the best shape of my life! When I feel good about me everything else sort of falls in line.

I will continue to invest in my health and well-being no matter what comments are made.

Does this happen to anyone else?!

Searching…

Friday, March 13th, 2009

I am searching for a workout plan. I really want to lean out/slim down but there is so much contradicting info out there! I need to tighten the belt on my meal plan, but I really need some guidance with weight training. I am the cardio queen! *smile* I diddle daddle with free weights/dumbells 5-8lbs but nothing major. Time to kick things up a notch?

Breast Reduction?

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Ok since highschool I’ve had this issue with my big boobs. Now that I am older and my body has gone through a pregnancy, I am really NOT digging the huge boob effect. I am seriously considering a Breast Reduction!! If there anything that I could do to improve the appearance of my chest and win the battle against gravity; Sign Me Up! I need HELP Bodyspace friends. Any tips on toning and tightening the chest muscles so that the boobs at least have more support?! They’re so heavy! Gravity is definitely tugging at these puppies! LOL!

Confused!

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

I’m feeling a little down right now. I have a vision of "my perfect body" and it seems so far out of my reach! I know these things take time and that I must be patient, but today I am feeling a bit discouraged. I am in a gray area when it comes to my goals. I’ve lost the majority of the baby weight and planned to lose another 15 for a final weight of 130lbs. The problem is, as I shed the fat I notice that my body lacks muscle definition. I really want to gain muscle, but I want to lose the weight!! ARGH!! Is this where I stop watching the scale and start watching my measurements and body fat percentage? I want to feel better about my fitness goals. I am soooo confused right now? What do I do next?!

Why?!

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Boy have I been sick! I’ve been out of order for about a week now and it is driving me crazy! I’m suffering from a sinus infection. Last week I was running a fever of 103 and feeling my worst! My biggest complaint is that I haven’t been able to workout. I’m in the middle of a 4 week fitness Bootcamp and I’ve missed an entire week! Argh! I’ve lost 5 of the 15lbs I set out to lose, but I know missing this week has set me back…I have to finish the antibiotics and I’ll be back to it on Monday (Hopefully)… I absolutely hate being sick! :(

My Wimpy Calves

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Ok, I started a fitness bootcamp about 4 days ago…The trainer had us climbing the stairs and all other sorts of things…My Calves are STILL SORE! I’ve stretched, I’ve massaged…I need some advice! What can I do about these Wimpy Calves?! :(

I’m back!

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Ok…I must admit that once I saw results; I got a bit Laxed. Hadn’t been to the gym in over 2 months and although I got down to 150lbs, I haven’t met my goals. My daughter is six months now. My new goal is to be a bombshell by her first birthday! LOL. Now that I’m back to it…Let’s do it!

My first week of weight training…

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Ok so I started weight training again for the first time since early 2007 and it felt so good! I can’t wait to start seeing this fat melt away like butter…My hubby made fun of my black gloves….They make me feel strong like i’m really doin work :) So I’m still doing cardio in the morning & I hit the gym on my lunch break to weight train. Mon-Legs&Abs/ Wed-Arms&Chest,Shoulders&Back/ Fri-Legs&Abs. I do need feed back though. Is this a good concept or is training legs & Abs twice a week too much?
