New Week = Fresh Start

So - last week was a half ass week.  I only hit the gym twice. . .Monday was a holiday and I was camping and Thursday was my Bday and I was ambushed by friends taking my out for lunch so , I skipped the gym since I usually go at noon.  At least I ate clean?  And I opted out of an afterwork workout seeing it was my Bday and then I just skipped Friday :S  Bad, bad girl, I know!  Clean eating slipped quite a bit last week, for the first time.  I don’t usually struggle with that side of things (minus the weekends - still working on not boozing) but last week I sure did.  It was like my body NEEDED some bread, red meat and some sugar.  That’s the thing though. . .it was LIKE my body needed it - believe me, it didn’t!  I feel bloated and gross, I’m in awe of how my energy was gone and even my MOOD altered?  Crazyness.

 Anyway - it’s Monday, a fresh start.  Even though I feel bloated I know that one week of half assing it isn’t worth sabotaging 7weeks of hard ass work! So I’m back on track and ready to kick my own ass in the gym :) )  Plus, for my birthday my boyfriend dished out 500bucks for new clothes (since I’m down a few sizes) and suppliments!  I love him and glad to have to support and encouragement. . .I may wait till I’m down another size to go shopping and I’ll have to get an outfit for his eyes only :O

Half Assing It

I’m still going strong on my workouts - missing the gym only twice in a 7week period…well 3 times because I didn’t go yesterday since it was May Long weekend and I was camping, but I knew that was going to happen.

During the work week I have been a clean-eating machine - touching nothing but lean meat and complex carbs.  I wasn’t "horrible" on the weekends but still having some drinks and squesezing in a cheat meal here and there over the weekend :S 

WELL this last week I found myself straying slightly from my clean-eating, not being as tight with it…then came the long weekend camping trip and I totally let it go.  I ate smores, a burger, chilli, steak and potatoes with butter, complex carbs (fruits) on their own without protien, coffee with flavoured creamer, Tim Hortons bagel…..WITH CREAM CHEESE!  Holy shit, I actually hadn’t reliazed how bad that weekend WAS until I just wrote it all down?!?!  Anyway - you should see me!  I feel bloated and disgusting, I think my body is in state of shock from all the crap food after eating clean for so long!

So I’m back at the gym in about 15min for my lunch break.  I know I have to just jump back onto track and forget my slip-up, I can’t let it discourage me.  I am, however dissapointed in myself - what a waste of hard work for some temporary satisfaction :(

Advice?

Did my lower workout on Monday, upper on Tuesday and Cardio/Abs yesterday.  Pulled my ?quad? muscle (front on my thigh - lol) at Baseball last night.  I’m supposed to be doing my leg workout today but wondering if I should since my leg is still a little sore today.  Not a major pull but I can feel it.  My arms are still a little sore from Tuesday still so I don’t want to work them again, thinking they haven’t recovered yet.

Maybe I should just have a Cardio/Abs day again?  Ugh, hate Cardio and my Abs are NOT really sore today…kind of a slack ass Ab day yesterday :O 

BAD START TO THE WEEK!!!

Bad start to the week….woke up late.  I need to get a new alarm clock, it’s not keeping time right.  I set it before I went to bed and it matched the other clocks in the house and when I woke up this morning it was HALF a HOUR behind - grrr.  So, I didn’t even relize that until I came out into the kitchen and thought I still had a half hour to get my meals ready - Nooope!  I had to leave immediatly for work (new boss today too!!).  So I grabbed a couple yogurts and my mom in law is bringing my lunch to the gym @ noon for our workout!  My own fault - I should have just made my meals up last night instead of choosing the sheets - lesson learned!  To top it off my alarm didn’t even go off (thank god I woke up) and I was going to start doing my cardio in the mornings so I had more wieght lifting time at noon.  Owell, tomorrow is a new day and today is not all lost.  I feel like ditching the gym today but I know I’ll just feel 10X’s worse in the end.  So, I’m dragging my ass to the gym in an hour and a half…maybe take out some frustration on my legs and ass, LOL! 

 OH - just a tid bit of info on my personal life.  I’m racing a sponsered Dragster this year and I start my licensing this weekend.  I’ll be doin’ the 1/4 mile in less the 8seconds, 170MPH - OH YEAH BABY!!!!!! I am beyond pumped!
