Time is very valuable. I had to remember that this weekend when I tried to register for my 1/2 marathon which is in June and found out that registration was closed and there was not a waiting list. The first thought was all my weeks of training just went down the drain. (Sucked becasue i absolutely dislike running) Anyways as with everything else in my life, i could not afford for one obstacle to prevent me from accomplishing a goal I had commited myself to. To make this short and to the point, I found another 1/2 marathon that is in two weeks (17 May) which i signed up for, the Capital City Marathon

I am absolutely exhausted. Total mileage for last week was 18mi, plus soccer Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. My legs are burnt out. Even though I’m hurting physically, it feels good compare to dealing with people i work with on a daily basis. Sometimes (this past week leading up to today) I was trying to answer the age old question of why I’m doing this, why do I go to the gym and push myself to the point of failure? When I figure it out, ill be sure to share it with everyone, probably write a book or something. Until next week…I’m out

Killer week behind me. I was so busy this past week, i didn’t what to do with myself. I slacked on my running for Saturday which was supposed to have been 8mi. I was planning on running it on Sunday because I had a soccer game Saturday but injuried my right calf. That caused me to not run or play in my other soccer game Sunday. This week is a light week so i plan on putting in extra to make myself feel good about missing out last week.

Wow, I almost feel as if I got ahead of myself with this 1/2 marathon deal. It’s not really a big deal, it’s just my schedule is so busy, somedays it seems as if I don’t have enough time to think. For this past week I completed all my scheduled runs and have battled through rain and 30mph wind gust, (Washington State for ya) all my workouts, soccer games and everything else. I am loving the results I’m seeing from all the cardio I’ve been doing, but at the same time I’m hating it because my legs have shrunk considerably. I plan on getting some progress pics posted soon. I enjoy looking at users progress pic, so it’s only fair I return the favor. The thought of doing the full marathon did cross my mind…just a thought. Until next week 2’s

I had time today to sit and update my profile. I have no idea what got into me and made me decide to participate in a 1/2 marathon. I’m definately not a runner and my passion is weights. Anyways, I made my mind up and this week is the first week of my training. I manage to complete my runs, and am experimenting with different workouts in the gym because i do not want to stop or significantly reduce my weight training (that’s how I maintain sanity). Besides all that, i came down with the flu and it’s driving me crazy. I had soccer Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and have try-outs tomorrow and another game on Sunday, along with a 7 mi run for my 1/2 marathon training. Yeah…it’s suicide. O well
