Someone broke into my car and stole my gym bag! Sonofabitch! It takes me a long time to accumulate the right duds and music and…well…all sorts of things that go into making a workout perfect. So, thats the bad news. The good news is I’m off to buy new duds, new MP3 player and whatever else I’m going to need, like shoes would be a good idea don’t you think?

Spring time in Michigan always helps give me a motivational boost. Everyone smiles a little brighter and the neighborhoods and towns are filled with walkers opening up to the dormant sunshine. The short shorts on all you ladies doesn’t hurt either:)

This cold cloudy weather is not helping my motivation to continue the sprint workouts at maximum effort. Still, I’m pushing forward and my weight workouts are going well. I’ve kept my waistline in controll so I expect a major result explosion once I’m able to complete the running and sprint workouts at max speed and distance.

I didn’t finish my entire jog for today (mental boredom) so had to do supplemental leg exercises (that’s the punishmeht). When I force the blood from my respitory system into my legs its a light headed disaster waiting to happen - no matter how well I’ve eaten. I pulled it off quite convincingly however, and was happy with the effort. The soreness from my new sprint workouts feels good. It tells me I’m working new muscles as well as old ones in a new way. Tomorrow will be the sprint workout again but I’ll begin eating heavier throughout the day to prepare for Thursday’s weight training.

It doesn’t matter how many distance miles I can run, beginning the sprint workouts is always a shock and this year appears to be no different. I thought I was going to crap my pants (don’t worry I didn’t). A few more workouts and my body will remember and the shock shouldn’t be so bad.
