Oh wow, that makes perfect sense (protein before bed). I will definitely have to get into the habit of doing that. I am doing pretty good with the pre-workout and post-workout nutrition now. I love the Lean Body protein shakes (I get the carb watchers version). I am working hard on my diet. Perhaps I should post it in BB.com to get some feedback. It's always hard in my house because everyone is trying to gain while I'm trying to lose. LOL

Thanks girl =) I can totally relate, I may not have kids but I have always been an emotional eater/binger. Pre and post workout nutrition is so important...you've gotta keep your body fueled! There is no reason to stop eating at 6:30...its totals cals for the day that matter, your body doesnt know what time it is. I eat EVERY night an hour before bed...a chocolate casien shake, I tell myself its ice cream :p You should have protein before bed to keep your muscles fed until morning.

Thank you Nic902. I absolutely agree with you and my struggle the last 14 years has been the fact that I'm an emotional eater. The crazy thing is, before having children, I never used to be but with working in a high s tress environment and the demands of caring for family on top of working crazy hours, I am not always conscious of the choices I make when eating. I have been working really hard to tighten up my eating and I am going to. For the most part I have been eating well - making sure to have protein at every meal, incorporating a pre-workout meal and making a point to eat lots of fresh/raw fruits/veggies with each meal and trying my best never to eat after 6:30 in the evening. Thank you for your comments and I just want to say you look AMAZING on your photo!

It really all comes back to diet...that will make or break you. Any struggles you are having with your diet could be directly affecting your training.

Thank you! You're right, it is tough, especially for me. I have never been involved in athletics outside of intramural volleyball one season. I typically do other things that are high in activity but never have I worked like this. My body is ACHING but I LOVE IT! I'm so psyched. I just keep telling myself, "halter tops by August". :)

Thank you! I am determined this time around. I know what my inner sexy is and I'm ready to unleash her. She's been hiding for quite some time but her comeback is just around the corner. I appreciate the encouragement! By the way, your abs are AMAZING!

Thanks for chiming in. I really appreciate (and need) the encouragement. The hardest challenges are always in the beginning (I think). You're excited and motivated and the progress begins to happen then it tapers a bit and you begin to question. I'm going to stick with it. I'm determined to see myself completely transformed. I've shyed away from pictures for so long (other than shots from the neck up) because I don't like being out of shape *ewwwwwwwww*. I will take some photos so that I can measure my progress. Thank you again! And, if you used to be able to fit into those pants you're wearing on your pic ---- GREAT JOB!!!! You look awesome.
