Playin like a champion!!

I can’t lie, last month was rough…and this month kinda started out the same way.  But somethin I will say is that I know where I can always find motivation.  Especially right now during the NFL draft…(I’m a HUGE football fan…<3 go chargers!) and when I turn on the tv and watch my favorite players, and clips of their strength and endurance, I get pumped up.  I believe now that’s where I get the biggest uplift.  I also think about how crazy-hard they workout to be on top of their performance.  It’s 10 times more than I can imagine, that’s for sure!  A couple months ago during the combine, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen watching football players run their heart out, making impressive running times.  Anyway, all this to say, if they can do it, I can work hard too.  Granted I’m a girl, but it’s amazing what our bodies were created to do.  There’s no excuses to not use that to our advantage!!  Rule number 76:  No excuses, play like a champion!!

Feelin’ Good

Luckily today I was good with what I ate…I have to say I don’t have a ton of time to snack in between meals on healthy snacks like I should, but I keep it healthy when I do.  Lunch was a grilled chicken salad, then I hit the gym tonight for a powerhouse kick-boxing class that incorporated an ab workout at the end.  It was an hour long.  I guzzled water and got a fat burner shake with acai berry in it….if ya’ll don’t know about this magic brazilian fruit, try it.  As for tomorrow, I’ll tackle more.  I feel energized!

The Beginning of Something…

Well it looks like I’m off to a start.  So far slow, but I’m just getting used to the whole "regimen."  The bad thing is I started on Thursday, probably should have started today first (Monday) but it’s a start.  On Friday I ran 2 miles and then hit the weight room and worked on legs.  My personal trainer right now is my hubby since he has a lot of knowledge on it, and is also starting fresh with new goals this year, so it’s encouraging.  I just need to get a schedule of what muscle group to do each day.  I want to do one every day of the week.  Today I am off to the beginning of the week so I feel good about that.  I just ran 3 miles and am now heading out to do chest and abs.  I’ll do abs several times a week.  I’m really open to any advice so please feel free.  I’m definitely an amateur at this.  After enjoying a lazy Sunday of pizza and beer I pushed myself to start this week healthy.  Breakfast was oatmeal and eggs.  I’ll be snacking on greens and ricecakes more than likely during the day, including fruit, and dinner I’ll chow on some grilled chicken or salmon with more veggies, brown rice and fruit.  I’m excited to really get into the swing of things!!  Like I said, feel free to give any advice.  HoLLa!!
