I love how this world is full of so many unique and talented people.  I had the fortunate experience of collaborating with an exceptional professional artist and now dear friend John Viljoen who drew this wonderful portrait of me.  

I have always wanted to have my portrait drawn but was always waiting for the right person to come along that I felt would be able to personify the essence of who I am, an artist that would bring that to life through the true beauty and illustration of art. The talented John Viljoen was able to do so. John, aside from his talents is by far one of the most kind, genuine and inspirational people I know. I am very blessed to have worked with such a phenomenal person.

20th Annual Arnold Sports Festival Weekend

No better words to describe the utter nature of the Arnold Festival Weekend.  Being the 20th Anniversary.. historical imprints were captured as part of the grand reunion reuniting the past winners of the International title, all on one stage and avid fans and industry professionals were at the front of the lines to see it all take place.

Governor Arnold S. a man of his word, made a promise  20 years ago that upon his retirement that he would continue to nourish his love for the sport by way of promoting bodybuilding and fitness as a whole and that he did making each year more lavishing then the last leaving memorable experiences.

I felt especially honored to be part of such a special year, the 20th year in existence seeing past winners take the stage for a special tribute.

Okay, so much of Friday was spent along with my co host Chaundra Tanji and Ironman’s Senior Editor Ruth Silverman as we put the girl power together to gather our thoughts and predictions based upon the day’s prejudging segment….just enough to build a story to open the Friday night Finals with the LIVE BACKSTAGE WEBCAST WITH BODYBUILDING.COM

The weekend expo was by far a more then concert crowded affair, with eager fans waiting to get the best seats in the house, be the first in the house to get their photos taken with their favorites icons and anxiously waiting to fill their oversized bags with give a ways and products.. that was definitely the case if you visited us at the Bodybuilding.com booth…! We had it all, the best interactive booth with all sorts of giveaways, video interviews, web cams and more

We often begin the New Year with our vowed commitment to new resolutions that I often elude to be the architect for failure.

You vow, to either lose 10 pounds, go on diet, get in shape, buy a new car, or save money. By February you are discouraged at your lack of success. Sound familiar?
It’s unrealistic to think that 1 day of thinking will change your life. New Years resolutions are everyday. If you change the way you think and look at things, if you treat every day as a day for personal growth and resolutions…. you will find an embedded inspiration, that leads you to success and feeling good about yourself.

Now let’s really start year off right! And of course that includes tellin’ y’all what’s in store with “The Red Storm”. Well peep this.
